Could anyone recommend a hotel or restaurant to have our Christmas day lunch in this year?. The kids are young so it needs to be a fairly relaxed setting.

    Radisson I think.
Some may do it just for residents.
Try ringing all the big ones.

Park House is another good choice.

Thank you, but the Park House along with a lot of the hotels is closed from the 24th to the 26th of December.

Most will be. Some will be open and only cater for guests.
Ring them all and check, it's the only way to know.

I saw an ad in one of the local rags a few weeks ago. It was either the Galway bay or the connacht.

To anyone who has been to the Radission for Christmas day lunch: is the buffet food good? Is it comfortable or are there queues for food, and would there be a lot of children running about?

We did it but it was a number of years ago. The food itself was grand, but I found the dinner itself a bit factory conveyer belt, and had to ask for little things that they forgot a few times. Staff seemed v. stressed, seemed not great for the price. The general atmosphere in the hotel was nice though, and again this was more than 5 years ago.

The Radisson calls it lunch as they offer a dinner also, which is something different.
