Littmann Stethoscope Advice

    Hey everyone,

    A family member is trying to buy a Littmann stethoscope for their studies, but they're very expensive brand new. Does anyone know of a shop or reputable site where they're slightly cheaper, or alternatively, any med/nursing students out there who no longer need/want theirs and would be willing to sell it for a reasonable price?

    Littmanns are not that expensive - starting about 80 quid from Medisave and about 90 from Clarendon.

    If it seems expensive, remember that the person you're buying for probably won't buy another - they are very much a long-term investment, unlike a lot of medical equipment. Plus, all medical equipment is overpriced; it goes with the territory. My advice - buy it from a shop - Clarendon are very good to replace things that have a fault.
