Until the Turbo goes of course.

VAG and BMW need to drop this reputation of 'going on forever' its horse****e.

These cars do not take any sort of abuse, and even babies ones can develop issues.

    Interesting theory

    Who manufactures the turbos?

It depends on the car, I had a Porsche that was Brown or more precisely in Marketing speak 'Mocha'. I actually thought it looked really nice.

I should have been more specific, brown a4's are worse in the flesh.

No idea, but the 2600 Euro it cost to replace the one it the fathers A4 from Audi Ireland seemed you know a bit ****e.

Go forever though so they do , forever....

Looking at audi.ie its 10k more for the A6.
Saying that christ the new a4 is pig ugly..I don't know if its the headlight styling but it looks like a superb. Making the default colour brown on the audi main page makes it about 10 times worse looking imo.

    Should have gone to specsavers!!

Probably made by Garrett. They make turbines for aircraft applications too.

I took a 2.0tdi out today feels like a completely different car very quiet and steering felt lighter! Lots of tech even the wing mirrors have 3 groves in them to keep the wind noise down!! Leather and sat nav standard in se this time around was looking at the 1.4 petrol but no demo car available as yet.. extras very expensive to change colour from black or white 2000 Euro

Called to Audi dealer today to have a look.
Demo s line on 19" alloys and loads of extras looked great. Very impressive and the quality superb. Makes 3 series look cheap.
Base model on 17" in contrast just looked awful. Very plain and I had to ask the salesman to point it out to me in the car park as it was so unremarkable.
I asked for a price list but none available. He told me they like to bring purchasers through the configurator to spec a car to their requirements and then discuss payment options...
Another words try to get you to spend as much as possible I presume.
Have to say I wasn't impressed with the sales approach but was pleasantly surprised by the s Line car.

    Cool find...

Amazing technology in what I assume is the B9

But the looks are a step back from the B8

I called in today but your man wouldn't entertain me for a test drive let alone a price as I was in working clothes even though we have a 151 A4, I suppose if I landed in my suit the prick would be pouring coffee down my neck.

    That's poor form and inexcusable
I wasn't impressed with the Audi chap I met either. No basic prices up not even beside the cars to let you know what options were fitted. I was offered a test drive after I said it was a bit stupid not being even able to give me some basic prices without having to go through the Audi configurator. In the end he said I could print them myself at home from their website as they don't print them because it's not environmentally friendly?!

I walked into audi in finglas, dirty snickers, boots and hoody. With a piece of junk 14yr old a3 as trade.

They couldn't have been nicer! Coffee on tap, straight away asked if i wanted to drive the only new model diesel a4 they had, that was parked in the middle of the showroom!

Which one were you in? That's shocking behavior.. Doubt the franchise holder would be impressed..

I was in Cork and I'd doubt he cares either as I phoned him a few weeks previous about the front tyres being bald after 13k kms. . I think I'd buy a S3 next time round anyway. .

Went into Audi Galway today to see the new A4 and was made feel very welcome. I Was shown the three models in stock and asked if I'd like a drive in the S-Line 2.0 TDI before I even got round to asking. It was parked outside the showroom doors.

The S-Line A4 in Daytona Grey looked lovely and very nicely finished inside and out.

Driving it was predictable if not particularly exciting, but that said,
it was very quiet, smooth and refined.

The 2.0 engine with 150hp was brisk enough and for me the performance was plenty adequate.

Very nice comfortable seats and driving position and I didn't notice
the pedals offset like the last model. However, I forgot to make a note
while driving and it was only afterwards I recalled not finding the
pedals anything ot of the ordinary, so they must have been ok.

All in all, a very enjoyable trip into Audi Galway today.

He must have forgotten who actually buys and drives Audi's these days.

I was in Audi Limerick but to be fair to the sales guy I was in a rush and just wanted to see the cars in the metal, get some basic info. I wasn't up for the "take a seat, have a cup of coffee, spec up the perfect car, discuss finance etc. " rigmarole. I didn't have the time for the Glengarry Glenross BS and think I unnerved him. I'm pretty sure if I went in there and had time for the sales patter it would have been better.
however I still think it is too dear.
When I spec up a nice 190 sline s tronic it is pretty much 520d m sport territory.

You don't really know why he wouldn't entertain you. Did you tell him you have a 151 A4 to trade in?
