    Hello,

I'm looking to spec a decent gaming PC for a budget of around 1.2k. I've configured the following build on hardwareversand.de that comes in just over 1.2k:

    Intel Core I5-6600 Box, Sockel 1151. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 246.99
    ASUS H170-PRO (1151, ATX, DDR4). . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 112.99
    Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - Intel/AMD. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 32.99
    16GB-Kit Corsair Vengeance LPX schwarz, DDR4-2400, CL14. . . 99.99
    Cooler Master N300 mit Sichtfenster, ohne Netzteil . . . . . . . . . 41.99
    MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 4G, 4GB GDDR5 . . . . . . . . . . . . 368.99
    Corsair CX Series Modular CX600M, 600W . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 77.99
    WD Blue 1TB 6Gb's. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 50.99
    Kingston SSD V300 120GB SATA III . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 48.99
    LG DH18NS schwarz bare SATA II . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 12.99
    Microsoft Windows 10 Home EN INTL 32/64-Bit USB. . . . . . . . 117.99
    Build. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 10.00
    Total. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1222.89

I understand HWVS is possibly going into administration so if you could also suggest some alternative sites that are competitive in price.

Any help and advice on the build would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

I understand HWVS is possibly going into administration so if you could also suggest some alternative sites that are competitive in price.

This has already happened, they're a different entity now but I wouldn't hand them money on principle. They might have a different finance manager but they're the same company who stole tens of thousands of people's hard-earned cash by deceit.

You won't need that CPU cooler, the stock cooler will be fine.
Mindfactory has that same part-list minus the case & Windows @ ~€1000 delivered, pick up Windows 8 for €107 and upgrade to 10 for free.

    Case is €48 on Amazon.fr.

Unless you know you're upgrading within the same socket-type within a couple of years I'd get Haswell CPU, mobo & RAM, spend the money saved from that and the dropping of the cooler on a better HDD & SSD.

This all assumed you wouldn't mind building yourself - if you feel uncomfortable some boardsie would probably do it for the price of a few beers and it still comes out cheaper than using HWVS's crappy build service.
