Best TV under €300

Hi all we are looking to get our mam, who 71 a new TV for Christmas and we have 300 euro to do so. What is the best deal out there at the min for a TV of less than 40" ? There's no need for integrated DVDs or anything like that as she'd never use the feature. Thanks in advance

Im no expert on TVs apart from having bought a few over the years but this 32" Samsung model would fit the bill. It looks very like the same model is selling in Argos a little bit cheaper.

You wont get anything bigger than a 32" screen for sub €300. Well you can actually if you shop around but it would probably be a heap of ****

32" tellies are just about on the limit of HD ready so i would recommend that you get something that is full HD, Saorview approved (most are anyhow) 100 Hz minimum motion clarity, at least 2 hdmi slots and a usb port.
