Any updates from anyone there? I have never seen such drop offs across the board. One lad I was tracking went from low 6's to 7.45 miles, not to mention Dr Q's bizarre splits. Strange isn't the word for it.

There's nothing online about an incident or anything - God I hope the tracker is just broken or something :(

Have text Anna again, will let you know.

    DNF for the exile

    DNF for the exile

Shame, I feel bad now about calling him a contrary fecker and implying he was sandbagging.

Hope everyone is ok at the end of this. I was beginning to think it was just a dodgy tracker.

Yeah DrQ / Exile was on to say it had hit 24 degrees with no shade. He wilted and pulled out. Saw Yaboya1 and he seemed to be finding the heat very tough too.

Not nice watching most of those I'm tracking go backwards in the 2nd half, be sensible lads and lassies and get to the finish line in one piece.

Nothing out of the ordinary going on from those there supporting other than it's very hot

Listening to Newstalk and George Hook is in Boston talking about the Marathon. Interesting, though George why have you picked up a slight Boston accent? You've only been there a few days.

When I first saw people talk about the weather being a factor I assumed it was cold, rain and wind, not mid 20 temperatures..

Yep :( I've just seen someone else drop off the tracker (either that or she's doing a 40 min 5k) :(

It was last year. No desire if ever able to do Boston. I'm exhausted.

At this stage I think is about getting home as times have gone out the window. Hope they have some sort of a sea breeze once they get to cleveland corner.

Ya, ugly scenes out there. Such a shame, if its not the cold and wind, it's the heat.

Its a real lottery, hoping they just all get to the finish in one piece and don't try to over reach in effort.

    Paul nearly home.

yaboya 3.01.31 35k, near 33 min 5k split, its carnage out there for them. So sad to see after all the hard miles they put in.
