Staying hydrated going to be a major factor today. Starting conditions were at around 14C and approaching mid 20s now I believe. A lot finding it hard now. Congrats to all for taking part and giving it a shot.

Just back from training, this thread is starting to read like a zombie apocalypse.

Very tough for those that have trained through the wettest winter on record for this...

Just back in the hotel all. Very tough day. It was very warm even at 8:30 - last year we were in the tent to keep warm - this year to keep cool. I know temps at the start seemed ok but in full sun it was like a beautiful summers day for lounging around with a beer. I normally enjoy running in warm conditions but not today.

I knew by 10k my goose was cooked so just wanted to get home in a reasonable time without ending up the medical tent.

This fuppin marathon - I have to come back again next year now!

Time to get ready for the beers.....

Well done Paul and thanks very much for the update. Hope you are ok. Enjoy the beer.

Thanks just got him. Almost identical time to his soon to be wife even though they didn't run together. Even ran some identical, to the second split times. Talk about made for each other! :D
