Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    No thread for game... fixed!

This game doesn't really need much hype!

Both Aguero and Sturridge are set to return, Sterling and Milner both face their old clubs... Will this be boring? Naaaah!!!

Thommo also trying to troll everyone saying he would have Milner ahead of KDB as it is a coin flip between them.

Prediction: City slickers 2 good for Pool Oh (see what I did there :))

4-0 Liverpool, Lovren to break Mané's hattrick record!

Id be surprised if srurridge is involved tomorrow, if the last few seasons are anything to go by the game should be an absolute belter.!

A newbie starting the match thread? On your head be it, SG.

What's the point, they'll be playing again next year.

I'm loath to parrot the supposed ITK twitterings of Darmian but he has no strikers starting for Liverpool (Firmino up top) but regardless it'll be a toughie. On the other hand no one is expecting Liverpool to win so their is little real pressure.

Handy City win hopefully as they march towards another title.

    C'mon City.

I think we have a better chance to get something today than we do against the likes of Palace or Southampton. I'll call it a draw.

When the real City show up no team in England can beat them, when they don't anyone can.

Think we might sneak this. Not overly confident though.

I'd be delighted with a draw now. City rightly strong favourites, but Liverpool have had a few decent performances at the Etihad in recent years without getting a win, so not ruling out an away win. If forced to enter a score though I'll say 2-1 home win.

Covering all the bases there, 5star:)

I'm going for a City win 1-0 but with some improvement in performances lately and Kompany missing, there is a small chance of Liverpool getting a point..

So annoyed I have to miss the first half. Will be a cracker of a game but I think City will edge it and get the win. I'd gladly take a draw right now. Would be a good result!

Dream - Sturridge comes on 88th minute and gets a hat trick

I think Thompson must have been on the sauce. I was a big fan of Jimbo when he was playing for us, and I was disappointed when he left for Liverpool. But De Bruyne is on a totally different level to him. If we play to 75% of our ability, and with Kun probably featuring at some stage, I'll go for a 3-1 win for us.

In fairness to Thommo, he explained earlier on Soccer Saturday that it was a combined eleven of players he thought would play today and apparently De Bruyne hasn't been picked the last few games.

De Bruyne is of course a better player. Milner overall has been a disappointing signing so far this season.

Fair enough. But I imagine Kev will be playing today. I think Pellers has been rotating the midfield a bit in recent games, hence De Bruyne not playing in some games.

It was embarrassing viewing, it's impossible for him to talk about Liverpool he's so biased.
De Bruyne was rotated for one game, he was making it out like Pellegrini was some how unsure about him.

Cop yourself on. He moved for better money, certainly. But also to play with better players and a better team. Just like all those Southampton players you bought. Wishing injury on a player is poor form.

Don't like the look of that city team, I'd start Delph ahead of Navas in a 3 man midfield.
