Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The City goal really changes the mood, need to come out firing in the second.

To be honest to lose from here would be shocking.

We need to get Dinho and Delph on right away (Navas and Nando off). That will give some protection to our woeful back 4. If we can keep Liverpool out (a big if) and get it back to a one goal game with, say, 20 minutes to go, then maybe we might scratch a point of the game. I'd take that right now!

And now Jurgen to believe us, we're going to win the league

So frustrating to concede. It was almost the perfect first half.

Hoping for either team to lose makes you not neutral.

    Definition of neutral:
not supporting or helping either side in a conflict, disagreement, etc.; impartial.

Is this a conflict or a football match?

It's just entertainment... I want to be entertained. One of the most enjoyable football experiences of my life was watching Liverpool turn it around against Milan. Don't be so uptight.

But not impossible, we're a team full of mistakes.

Klopp has to get the message to the players at half time "This does not ****ing slip"

Reading all the Liverpool fans gushing about the performance it would be bloody hilarious if Liverpool lost this now... 13/14 season condensed into one game?

I really don't get how it would be hilarious. Liverpool coming from 3 - 0 against AC Milan was hilarious because Milan were cleary the better team on paper and on the pitch. By a long way. In this case City have a team packed full of superstars and were hot favorites to win this game comfortably. The odds of them scoring 3+ goals against Liverpool's notoriously leaky defense were not that long before the game and still aren't. It's similar to the 2013/14 season, liverpool "collapsed" because they lost to a Chelsea side packed full of superstars (liverpool had Iago Aspas). Throwing away the lead to Palace probably was hilarious to a neutral but it was because they were pushing for more goals and in the end had little / nothing to do with not winning the league.

Lets keep Match Thread for this match, not a discussion of neutrality, managers of Spanish teams, results from 2014 etc etc blah blah blah.

    Thanks.

I'd say he meant it (because he said it in the post you quoted probably) as in the amount of gushing would make it hilarious. Just a hunch of course

Cant see this game staying 3 -1.

Chandsome should play all his passes as a backheel.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Not getting the soft frees that the ref is giving City.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,948 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

    This ref isn't even looking

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,308 ✭✭✭Pyjamarama

How many tackles from behind will the ref let City away with??!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

This ref is a classic 'they're winning so they don't need free kicks' referee.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,629 ✭✭✭googled eyes

City starting to play a bit rougher

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,629 ✭✭✭googled eyes

And the ref giving fook all

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,248 ✭✭✭✭BoJack Horseman

    This ref isn't even looking

    Game needs a comeback narrative.

    Whatever it takes ref.

Two things you often hear at the Etihad:

    1) Penalty appeals
    2) Silence

  • Registered Users Posts: 178 ✭✭tomglsn

Man that should have been a goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,948 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

    Should have been 4!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,438 ✭✭✭livinginkorea

    Should have lobbed it over

    Brilliant from Lallana. Smashing save.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Great save. Hart's probably up there with Mig as the best keeper in the league.

    Should have been 4

    Perfect height for keeper.
    Poor finish.
JUst needed to chip it over of roll it in either side.

Arguably game of the season so far. Was saying earlier there isn't as much quality in the PL anymore, but this has been great stuff.
