Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

On top of what people have said above I think it's to get Bundee quick ball off the scrum platform. He's insanely good at beating defenders so if he ends up in a one on one with a flanker he he as a good chance of skipping past them. Even if he gets tackled he'll usually make a few yards and look for the offload.

that and you'd have a breakdown specialist not trying to go from the scrum to help secure the ball

I haven't looked at the clip yet, but did see the initial screenshot on the vid - maybe I should watch first, then comment :o

You aren't meant to see any fancy play. They are just practising.

It's how they plan on scoring the winning try in the Pro12 final in the 75th minute.

    It is known.

Any chance we can get a Bundee Aki song going in the main stand preferably to the tune of Snooker Loopy by Chas and Dave?

Yeah why not but for those of us who don't know the song we need you to upload a video of yourself singing in the tune so we all know how it goes ;)

Now we have 7... And the coach and player's player (and ofcourse chairman's player - which I think is contribution to the rugby community and the league)

This season is fncking nuts lad's - and it's not over yet!!
I give huge kudos to Muldoon. We look for leaders and he is a true leader. Have to admit was shocked when AJ was replaced. Then I was amazed when marmion was replaced. Both of these guys were simply brilliant. And then their replacements did us proud. Its a crazy crazy world but if you wanted to support a team it would be? :-)

I'd imagine Dillane went through them too. He took a big hit in the first half and did well to hide that he was dazed. They showed the replay a few times on TG4 so it won't have went unnoticed by the medical staff.

Be so pretty depressed if Dillane wasn't around for the semi, he was destroying lads in the tackle on Saturday.

Have many people looked into the potential trip to Edinburgh for the final? I've only looked at flights so far but they are working out very expensive. I haven't looked at accommodation yet but according to someone at work most of it is gone already and anything that's left is working out at €100's a night. I was only planning on going for one night (flying over early the day of the game) to save money. As it is though it looks like myself, and many others, will be priced out of going.

I'm not getting ahead of myself but just curious have many others looked into it yet. I haven't had a look yet but the ferry could be an option. It would be great if the Clan organised a few supporters busses because I'm sure demand would be high. If the ferry times suited it could be an option. Could leave in the early hours the morning of the game and start heading back a few hours after the game allowing a few hours for celebrating/drowning our sorrows!

There are endless ferry services. Stena from Belfast and P&O from Larne operate multiple services everyday. Also Ulsterbus operate coach services from Gt Victoria Street station to Edinburgh and they are really cheap and include the ferry price.

Glasgow is an alternative for anyone thinking of going - flights & bus/train/accom could well be cheaper going via Glasgow if you're content to miss the night out in Edinburgh after and don't mind travelling.

    Skyscanner/Trivago/Hostelworld/Megabus are your mates here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,707 ✭✭✭BeardySi

There were also some reasonable seats out of Belfast to both Edinburgh and Glasgow this morning. You're looking at least four and a half hours on the road to drive up though, rather more if you're relying on bus connections...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,037 ✭✭✭Cosmo Kramer

I've been told that the tickets being offered to Glasgow Warriors fans for all areas other than the Clan have now been removed from sale - presumably they have been re-allocated to Connacht for the public sale tomorrow. They were given 500 for the main stand, 500 for the Bohermore and 500 for College Road. It's unlikely that many (if any) tickets were sold from the Glasgow allocation for either Bohermore or College Road so there should be a reasonable amount of tickets for these areas available for the public sale tomorrow, as long as people are quick off the mark in the morning to get them.

If Leinster get thru on the Friday then most flights will get booked up, a 7 day turnaround is v difficult for finalists

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,293 ✭✭✭MarinersBlues

After reading on the Glasgow forum that one poster believes there is not a high demand for tickets. I have now resolved to never take forum logic as a given.

    :D:D:D;););)
Tickets still available for Warriors fans using original link - must have extended deadline. Does this mean demand is not as high as previous years?

If there are still tickets going in fairly small ground then this would likely mean fewer sold than in Kingspan and previous 2 years in the RDS including last away semi which is a shame.

Their interpretation of what happened in that game is interesting too.
According to them they should be pretty confident of getting to the final.
no recognition of our front row situation or the fact that we also had only 14 on the pitch for most of their green patch toward the finish.

Still plenty of reasonable posters there.
The Scarlets forum has me PMSL at times. They are so fookin miserable

Loughney is serious shoulder injury and unlikely to see any further rugby this season. Hopefully Finlay will be good to go. We're looking at possibly Denis/Tom/JP, Shane/Tom/Dave, Finlay/Rodney/Nathan(unlikely) unless Marmion can move from back row to front row and Jake moves full time to scrum half :-)

I know that, just too hard to wait a whole week. Bealham/Buckley may really be crucial. one of them it's 50/50 in the overall game odds. none is advantage Glasgow, 2 advantage for us to win!

Just watched the action again, Finlay didn't go K;O straight after the contact (with the tackler and McCartney btw). He didn't look bad when he went off. It it was concussion, we can be optimitic, hoping there wasn't another kind of injury.

That's not the way brain trauma and concussion work

MacGinty made 12 tackles against Glasgow, missed 1  I'd say that's a fairly rare achievement for an out half.

Marmion seemed to be the man to make ground with 3 runs for 54 metres made. Aki put in an all round huge shift 12(!) runs for 37 metres and 10 tackles made, 2 missed.

Muldowney, Muldoon and McCartney were tackling machines with 16/0, 15/1 and 14/1 tackles made/missed respectively.

mcginty is a talent and a loss. hope our sa friend can replicate the raw and fantastic play of AJ . His line breaking is immense, his tackling is immense, he has done connacht very well. i am good with known talent over unknown talent that we pay ? 4 times more for. Just me

That doesn't give an indication of his severe a concussion is though. A blackout is bad no doubt, but you can suffer just as severe a concussion while remaining conscious.

I don't want to jinx it but they seem to have really improved from the debacle that was the opening of sales on Monday.

There is clear indications of how long I expect to wait and when I move up the queue. A bit surprised that I was so far back the queue though because I was in pretty much straight away

I've guessed someone would say that, probably true, but at least it reduces the chances of being severe compared to a straight blackout, doesn't it?

They were never there, only the terraces.

Duncan Weir was one of the Glasgow waterboys on Saturday. Tried to stop Quinn Roux from coming on when JP went off temporarily and got a telling off from Quinn and some of the Connacht backroom staff.

I wonder how many tickets would have been sold for this game had the space been available in the stadium - maybe 15,000? It's a shame that they weren't able to get bigger temporary terraces in for this one.
