Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Matt Healy twirling, twirling towards freedom!

Matt Healy, Ireland loss is Connachts gain. He would have scored one if he was on Trembles wing in Twickenham today as well.

****ing restarts, we have to improve them.

Classic Tag Rugby move spinning through the defensive line.

    Matt Healy. Feic ar sin

'Madden NFL' style spin from Matt Healy. Great score. A lot of time to go but 3 tries in the bag....a BP win would be massive.

connachts defence is terrible. far too loose. they need to learn when to target the breakdown

I'd like to see Poolman on for Niyi to short things up and offer a better aerial counter.

I take back everything I've ever said about George Clancy in the past.

Think Connacht got out of jail there. He wasn't held at all.

    thats a bad decision.

Wrong call IMO. I don't think Davies was held. Absolutely massive in the context of the game.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,275 ✭✭✭Your Face

    He was tackled tho.

He wasn't held in my opinion and got up to score?

Connacht go down the other end and score three points. Massive decision.

Dont think he got up on his feet tho. That made it a double movement after that. Decisive decision alright.

Brilliant that Webb has gone off.

Doing the double over Ospreys, jesus.

Bundee was a one man highlights reel. I must say that I thought that Qualter had missed his shot at this level but he was incredible when he came on. 2 lineout steals and some serious work around the park.

Opinions on clancy call. Looked wrong to me.

Huge win tonight. That's got to be champions cup now

We are Connacht and we can beat the best.

Probably wrong. It doesn't make a difference for us but it was worth 2 league points for ospreys. They have a right to be annoyed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

The non-try for Ospreys with an Irish ref is nice justice for Connacht after Cardiff away with a Welsh ref last year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,707 ✭✭✭BeardySi

Christ what a match! Glued to every minute of it (streamed from tg4.ie in the end, much less faff...) Bundee was immense.
Was a brilliant result after the dismal Ireland match!

Bundee didn't look great at the end. Was his ankle acting up again?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 15,238 ✭✭✭✭Diabhal Beag

I'd like to hop on the Niyi Adeolokun defensive mastermind bandwagon if there's still room.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,204 ✭✭✭Billysays no

Unexpected win but what a win. Ospreys are no joke. Simply huge

Min or two before the whistle he went down, got up again fairly quickly but was limping quite badly. As they left the ground, it was down to just a slight limp. But still quite noticeable.

It could potentially have been worth 5 to Ospreys. That would have at least levelled it at 27-27 and put them ahead if they got the conversion and who is to say how it would have went from there. A win there would have flipped Champions Cup qualification majorly in Ospreys favour.

I'm sure there'll be war over this from Ospreys but that's just because it happened to a "big team". Until the standard of officiating gets to a professional level the product which is good will suffer.

There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth after George Clancy's try decision against Leinster. Tonight was repayment. Against Leinster we deserved nothing on the night regardless of the decision but tonight it was Connacht minus 15 players versus Ospreys minus 14. We were the more weakened side with injuries and callups but what I love about Connacht under Pat is that we get on with it and someone else comes in and does a job.

On the try also Davies slowed up near the line when it looked like he should romp home so they have some questions to ask themselves.

Great match, some serious running game, I saw back line moves today from Connacht than Ive seen from Ireland in 3 years. Great experience for my first match. Surely Healy and TOH put their hands up for a Ireland jersey against Scotland or Italy

Oh and Ospreys player never got held, was like 6 feet away definite score, no idea how it wasnt given
