Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If you believe in a higher power and you believe in an afterlife that contains the promise of paradise I can only hope it is a fraction as beautiful as Barcelona have been in that 45 minutes. 45 minutes of football perfection. Real Madrid have done what they've always done when confronted with true greatness, they've tried kicking and hacking at it, this Barcelona team is not going to be hacked out of the game, history beckons again for the blaugrana.

Everybody incredible, everybody playing for each other. Those two goals were Barcelona 101, the football of Cruyff, the football of Pep, the football of Lucho, the football of a club that transcends the sport they play. The football of Gods.

    Iniesta is a genius.

You'd think the defenders in question have played him often enough to know you can't give him that much time to play Neymar in.

He was head and shoulders above anyone else in the first half. Barcelona may still rue that Suarez miss

Fcking delighted that was saved on the line. Barca deservedly ahead but that would have probably been game. Need Madrid to score next tbh.

Barca will have no problem carving them open again,so I'm sure the miss won't come back to haunt them.

I bet you never seen any of them play 90 minutes of football.

Positive start to the 2nd half by Madrid, leaving themselves open at the back though.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Marcelo had to hit the target. Had loads of time

Pass might have been the better option, had 2 options. Poor shot either way.

AIG you have slipped so much.

It's like you're not even trying anymore, you had 45 minutes of typing, deleting and retyping and that is the best you could come up with :(

Barcelona beating Real Madrid 3-0 away from home without Messi. Who'd have thought it?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,790 ✭✭✭Bret Hart

This is getting embarrassing for Real.

O phhhhhhhhh Goal! Goal Iniesta! It's an exhibition of football at the Bernabeu from the team in Blaugrana. Football as it should be.

Messi! Messi enters the pitch. It's all too perfect.

    Benitez out of his depth

    Needs to be sacked

It's a matter of how much Barca can win by at this stage.

Serious pressure on Rafa you'd have to think.

A club with success that Barca can only dream of, "kicking and hacking at greatness". Serious small mickey syndrome

This could be a real rout. Amazed Benitez didnt make any changes at half time. Messi on now in place of Rakitic.. a completly offensive move to rout them in their own back yard... have to admire Barca tonight.. lots of people didnt give them much of a chance but completly dominent so far...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,488 ✭✭✭Andre 3000

To think a Messi-less Barca did all this to Madrid is frightening.

Without messi and away... well i think i poorly worded that not given a chance is a bit wide of the mark but lets say backed Madrid as favourites...

I'm usually a huge critic of the current Ballon D'Or but to be honest, as poorly as he's played tonight, the rest of that Real side have been terrible as well.

Fantastic counter from Real, great save from Bravo, should have been a goal.

    Kinda want a refund.
Hopefully messi scores and we see the full show

Are Barca trying to gift them a goal?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,850 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Fantastic counter from Real, great save from Bravo, should have been a goal.

Lovley bend and weight on that ball by Bale... keeper hot out super quickly though. Dont understand why Ter Stegan ever got a look in and shared the gloves. Bravo always the superior keeper i think.

Funny how every time Barca score the camera moves to show a disappointed Ronaldo. Pretty much the only times we've seen him the whole game. :D

Lovely fourth goal by Chewy. P45 tonight for Rafa.

    Would be mental firing him.
How many games has he lost? 3 including this one?

Goal! 4! It's 4! In their white jerseys they wave the white flags from the stands, jeers and whistles cascading a Los Blencos team that are being categorically decimated by their Catalan counterparts. They know they've been beaten by the best team in the world, one of the all time great teams.

What is your problem with him? Each to their own. It's no different from spamming with "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM GETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK INNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN" which occurs here all the time.

This one carries an awful lot of weight, its Madrid, they are nuts but Benitez is completely at odds with their style and he won't last long. Insane appointment of course.
