Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

After a truly awful result last week Leinster take on Bath today in a must win clash. A lot has been said about the game in the RDS against Wasps but it should be remembered that Leinster dominated territory and possession so they were obviously doing something(s) right. It should also be noted that they were missing almost all of their first choice back line outside 10 and lost 3 forwards to injury as well. In that context, while it doesn't excuse the result or aspects of the performance, it does put it into context. A huge improvement is needed today. Let's hope they deliver.

What an awful kick by Rokodoguni.

    Boss has started well.

Watson is a top player, huge fan of him.

Boss has done well so far though.

Who bit in there from Leinster and opened the hole?

    Good man Dev.

    Great play from Bath though.

Nice kick by Sexton, Bath do look threatening though- Eastmond, Watson, etc

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,616 ✭✭✭✭errlloyd

So far good game for a neutral. Bit lucky of Leinster, absorbing some pressure.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

Fairly happy with this start. Bath look very good though.

Nice handy 3 for Sexton to start, silly penalty from Bath.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

    TE'O! Great hit.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

They are getting a lot of quick ball from their rucks.

Bath look very good with ball in hand.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,264 ✭✭✭✭Fireball07

    Eastmond is class.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,616 ✭✭✭✭errlloyd

Good and bad of teo there. Great hit, but he's also been done a few times now.

    Scrum a worry.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,742 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

Poor reffing. They should be made to use that, a scrum can only stay up for so long.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,616 ✭✭✭✭errlloyd

We're getting owned at scrum time. Bad news.

Is there an issue with Triggs behind Ross I wonder?

will see if that changes when Moore comes on

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

We're losing the collisions again here. There's an air of inevitability about this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,742 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

    Stop kicking them the ball

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,616 ✭✭✭✭errlloyd

Opposite of last week. We have no possession, no territory and nothing.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

Bath playing all the rugby. They are getting into our 22 easily and going through phases. Have we even had possession in their 22 yet?

We should be kicking it when we're on our 22, but we just need to kick better.

think sexton shipped a boot to the head in that ruck by one of his team mates

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,616 ✭✭✭✭errlloyd

That is complete crap from the ref. No release from louw over there.

    Leinster look absolutely dire again.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

Jesus Christ. We're poor again today. Set piece is a joke. WTF!?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,742 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

Horrendous game of rugby. Refs not reffing the ruck either. Lot of chat from the Bath players.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,636 ✭✭✭✭Tox56

Well this is utterly appalling in every respect

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

That was an atrocious kick from JS.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,225 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

No shape in attack and Toner caught dozing.

Win the ball, knock it on instantly. Win the line out, kick an up and under no distance at all and lose it. They have a light centre, we have a beast, pass the ball to Fitz.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,636 ✭✭✭✭Tox56

This is so frustrating, twice we've won a turnover and the ball goes forward and we're defending a scrum

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,742 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

Crossing in the Bath backline in pretty much every play

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,264 ✭✭✭✭Fireball07

Leinster doing a bit better now, frustrating Bath.

Although that was a super kick.

How Banahan didn't get caught is beyond me.

That was an atrocious kick from JS.

For me Sexton is not the same player as he was before his long lay off with concussion. Theres a sluggishness about him which is reflected in the team as a whole. Healey hasnt played well since his return and Jamie Heaslip is not leading by example, hes also not captain material because again this performance is leaderless.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

This is a pretty strong 23, so why the hell are we so bad?

And a man down. Anyone see who it is?

    He's not the captain.

    Healy done his shoulder/neck?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,616 ✭✭✭✭errlloyd

    Healy could go.

    Edit: looked worse real time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,264 ✭✭✭✭Fireball07

That Bath LH is a wrecking ball with ball-in-hand.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

Healy made a total and utter mess of that attempted tackle.
