Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Possible Line-ups

Leicester City: Schmeichel; Morgan, Huth, Simpson, Fuchs; Mahrez, Drinkwater, Kanté, Albrighton; Ulloa, Vardy

Manchester United: De Gea; Smalling, Blind, Jones, Young; Herrera, Schweinsteiger; Schneiderlin, Depay; Rooney, Martial

    Match facts

Manchester United have won 10 of the last 11 Barclays Premier League matches against Leicester City, but the exception was the Foxes’ 5-3 win in the corresponding fixture last season.
Leicester became the only team in BPL history to come from two goals down to beat Manchester United in their 5-3 win at the King Power Stadium in September 2014.
There have been 18 goals scored in the last four league meetings between the two sides.
Leicester have recovered more points from losing positions (10) than any other team in the BPL this season.
Manchester United have lost just one of their last nine league fixtures (W6 D2 L1).
Leicester have scored in 14 successive BPL matches and are the only side to find the back of the net in all 13 of their league encounters this season.
The 13 top-flight matches involving the Foxes this season have seen 48 goals scored; more than any other side.

Sorry to start on a downer but I'm not confident that United will beat Leicester. Hope I'm proved wrong!

    Herrera's not fit, is he?

    Scrap the cap!

In form striker vs the best defense in the league.

    Boring, rigid nil nil affair.

May as well just have said Man Utd are playing.

Be very surprised if united beat the foxes. They turn up and play the way they did Wednesday night they will be beaten.

I think Leicester will be naive enough to fall perfectly into Van Gaal's hands. Their gung-ho attitude will be picked off.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,790 ✭✭✭Bret Hart

Starting XI: De Gea - Young, Smalling, Blind, Darmian - Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger; Mata, Rooney, Memphis - Martial

Bench: Romero, McNair, Borthwick-Jackson, Goss, A.Pereira, Fellaini, Rashford

I'm feeling rather confident we can do enough too get the win today. I'm going 2-1 Utd.

You make a good point, it is when teams sit behind the ball that United run out of ideas, but that is not the Leicester way to play.

Looking forward to seeing Mahrez play today than Vardy or any of the Utd players.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,754 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

McNair is starting according to Sky Sports.

    1-1

    It will be a toughie

I don't support either team but I really hope Man Utd absolutely destroy Leicester.

The massive love in for Leicester at the moment and the way Man Utd seem to be despised really is a bit hard to listen to.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

Not confident at all. Think Leicester will score and if it's first, I don't fancy United to be able to chase the game without conceding more to that Leicester attack.

Man Utd have always been despised when winning. The reason they are despised now is because of the brand of football they are playing, a not to dissimilar situation to previous Chelsea teams under Mourinho.

They're not the most attractive team to watch but it's going a a bit over board and this Man Utd way bullsh1t is fairly annoying.

If United go top of the table tonight, expect the criticism to intensify.
    LVG out!

Basti and Carrick do not play well together.

    Le sigh.

    5-3 to the home side.

  • Hmmmm

Just don't know what to expect

The unstoppable force versus the immovable object.

Hopefully it will be as drab and uneventful as last year's trip to Leicester.

Gonna be a tough game for Utd, could go anyway. I'd like to see Vardy break the record too, fantastic what he's done this season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

    McNair in defence. Holy Jaysus.

Edit: 3 at the back? FFS.

    If I was a neutral I wouldn't tune in.

Blind has a savage deliver from a corner

    What are you doing Schweinsteiger?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Utd paying Leicester a lot of respect so far.

Happy to give them the ball. A few uncharacteristic long balls so as not to get caught by the pacy counter.

Sadly I fail to see what Carrick provides to the side any more.

    Scrap the cap!

    In fairness, he wasn't bad.

But it sums up his form this season when a "wasn't bad" performance stands out for praise....
