    Hi Guys,

I'm looking to build a new PC and after a lot of research I've put together a list of parts.

Id really appreciate some advice, help and feedback on the items listed. Im buying the items from a site in the UK but for ease Ive assembles the computer on PCPartpicker below.

The computer is a home computer and will be used for everything from office work to gaming to light photo-shop.

Thanks a lot for the help.

    Shane

Drop the cooler and drop to 8gb RAM.

    Rest of build is sound

Thanks for getting back to me but why?

Why would you not need a cooler and why would you go for less ram?

Please excuse my ignorance but this is my first build.

    Thanks Digital Solitude

He probably said drop cooler as its not an overclocking CPU.

If you look on bargain alerts thread, GTX 970 300 euro. The gigabyte version from amazon.fr I think.

And do you know why he said lower ram?

He probably missed the part where you mentioned editing and 3d modeling.

Post prices of your build. I know you want to go with novatec. But with black Friday cyber Monday you may save yourself a good chunk using Amazon which is a great site.

I did miss the editing, sorry.

If you go to skinflint.co.UK and search for your components, and tick the box for German Stores you'll save a bit on each part if you go through one of those stores.

Might be cheaper if you wanted to chance

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,397 ✭✭✭✭Digital Solitude

Your prices there are fairly steep too

  • Registered Users Posts: 160 ✭✭Shane.sf

I pressed the wrong button and it posted before i was finished. i edited my last post above. Its now a full price list

All things considered prices with your discount /using a site you're comfortable with. Is good enough. Build is solid.

The only thing would be perhaps the graphics card. Youd be saving over 50 euro using the amazon deal at 300 euro.again your call you'd probably be happier getting from same place.
