Errr... do any of you drink? Clearly, I don't mean the usual consumption or behaviour as before being pregnant, but a glass of wine if you go out for a meal? Would you find people stare or pass comments? I'm more interested in society's view as opposed to the medical evidence (I'm a doctor so am aware of the evidence…

It's a tiny tiny amount, they ingest the equivalent of your BAC (let's say 0.05%) which is then ingested by the infant at that concentration, and their BAC becomes a fraction of that. Which is different to foetal BAC, which would be similar to the Mothers.

I'm sticking with Dr Jack Newman's advice... it's fine to drink a reasonable amount - "you must not drop the baby, but the problem is your coordination not the amount of alcohol in the milk."
