Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've just seen a post on Facebook that the cinema in Swords Paviliom will be closed for the foreseeable future. I thought other cinema goers would like to know!

The post does not explain what the reason behind the closure is.

It's always a busy cinema so I think this is a real shame.

A friend of mine works there, if I see her about I'll ask her what the craic is. Surprised with that me self, by all accounts very busy, being the only cinema in swords, its hardly a money issue I'd imagine. I doubt it's refurbishment either as it's relatively new and they wouldn't be stupid enough to be at that when arguably the biggest movie of the past 10/15 years is just about to open.
Maybe some sort fire safety issue or similar?

I've heard that the fire brigade were there this morning, so it could be a fire safety issue or even a minor fire. Fingers crossed it's not closed for too long!

I wonder how long the foreseeable future is. Thats a right pain though, I don't go that often but its just up the road from me so its handy for christmas.

It's in their website too. It says "until further notice".

It's a bit sickening for anyone who's booked for movies like Star Wars months in advance, there doesn't seem to be any information on refunds.

Opening up at 7pm tonight. On Facebook page. Don't fret!

Apparently a raccoon got stuck in the photocopier.
