Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Same happened me, it went up by a huge amount. I paid by the month and it went up from €92 to €176 for me and my son. I switched to a better plan with Laya and it costs me €88 per month.

Have a look at the hia.ie website. Put in what type of cover you want in regards to hospitals, ie public, semi private in a private hospital ect.
Have a look at policies with an excess - this is where you pay the first €50, €100 ect of the bill.

In regards to hospitals you have private hosptials ie St Vincents private.
The high tech hospitals ie Mater private, blackrock clinic ect.
Look at having some cover for the high tech hosptials in regards to heart or cancer treatment. Only the expensive policies will cover most treatments in the high tech hospitals.

Just be aware of polices that cover up to 80% of certain operations ie hip replacements. An operation costs €10,000 - you have to pay €2,000 of the cost. I was looking at policies a few months ago for my parents and I noticed a lot of the vhi policies are like this.
