Very wet here in Ballina, Tipperary, 36mm of rain since midnight. Main road through Ballina flooded, petrol station car park badly flooded and some of the roads coming from the hills are like rivers at the moment.....it's not going to be good here if this continues!

The rainfall is low because I discovered that the pole holding the head unit was vibrating and the rain was being shook out of the spoon. I have dampened the pole for now and will see what happens

You weather station is as f***ed up as my own!

My wind instrument is down for over a year and now the computer that records the data is kaput!

But the wireless read-out works...just the record of the measurements is being lost at the end of every day

At the moment I have an old croc wedged between the pole and the wall 😀 That seem to have allowed the rain to register so will watch it

In Dublin things are easing only very slightly wind wise, still some strong and potentially damaging gusts of 70 to 80km/h. Rain here today was light and patchy from around mid-day. Looks like around Sunday 3am to 6am for a proper lull in wind and gust strength. Rain seems to have eased for those in the west so hopefully the worst of the flooding can receed somewhat.I had a roof tile come down last night so hopefully get it repaired tomorrow before high winds and rain due early on Monday.Stay safe people.

I'm still not accustomed to the new colours on the met Eireann rain radar, for me it doesn't offer accurate picture of rain fall to expect.

Still windy , 10 min avg 32 kph recent gust 64kph SW ( highest gust 75.6 kph )

Still raining non stop but lightly here all day, I think as the rain is coming from the SW the mountains are taking a lot of it before it reaches further North into Kerry, in saying that the land is getting well and trully flooded around locally.

Clear skies all day long. Jumped up the ladder to repair all rusted electrical connections giving constant problems with wind gauge. Silicone grease involved to prevent dampness to get back there. Hopefully it'll help for a longer while.
