Early morning taxi to the Airport

    I can't see any recent threads on this and I only seem to be getting prices about €35 for a trip to the airport (4am!). Would I get any cheaper does anybody know? Clonsilla/Ongar area

    It cost me about €30 from Carpenterstown last Friday during the day, it would cost more to go in the middle of the night.

    To give me an idea of potential taxi fares.

    Also, if you're going to book it anyway, might be worth looking at uber:

    They also have an online fare calculator.

    That's around the same price I pay for an early, arranged call out to the airport

    I use a local taxi guy and he does fixed rates.

    I called a guy that did fixed rates for my area for €27 but he gave me another number to ring and said they'd do it at the same price (Don't think he wanted the 4am call out!).
    I rang them and they said no they don't do fixed rates but just booked them anyway as she said it would be about €28-€32. It was €37.


    Thanks for the numbers-I'll take not for future trips!

    I think if you try pre-book a Hailo taxi, it shows the estimated price.

    Mother booked a taxi to the airport at 4:30am - cost €37
