Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Coutinho for now against Newcastle.

Disclaimer: likely to wimp out and and change to Lukaku or Ozil on Saturday morning

    Ozil

    Ozil for sure

    Seriously thinking about Coutinho

Ha we should probably have two polls:
The first stating the captain we would like to do, the second the captain that we will actually do.

    Punt on Ozil

Looks like I'm the only one on the Kun train (if fit)....

Coutinho is in for a one week punt with All Out Attack so I may put all my eggs in his Brazilian basket.

Don't have Ozil but I think his appeal is lessened with Sanchez out. Torn between Coutinho, Sturridge, Hazard, KDB and Lukaku myself! Opinions?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,557 ✭✭✭✭CSF

    Coutinho probably won't start right?

Carzola is also out so they could struggle

Have had costa in my team for a few weeks (don't ask), might captain him as a possible parting gift before i dump em for aggy

    Oh yeah?

And Sunderland have looked solid in defense in recent games. Newcastle are probably the most vulnerable side at the moment and Liverpool's away form has been excellent, if Coutinho gets the thumbs up to play I'll probably lean towards him... Or perhaps Sturridge?? Too many options :D

    Mane

    Mane atm.
He's one of the 4 ever present left in my squad (Vardez and Butland the other three)
It's his last chance to impress me before I get a Liverpool mid.
Kun and Ozil next under consideration.

    No love for Sturridge?

    No love for Sturridge?

I'd be stunned if he starts. Benteke will start with Sturridge on the bench.

Sturridge may start. 4 days between the league cup game and Newcastle. looked sharp and got almost 60 mins under his belt

He didn't play midweek despite being available. I think he's nailed on to start....

If he was really available he would have at least been on the bench. Klopp didn't leave a fully fit Coutinho at home IMO. If he was in perfect nick he would have played a few minutes to get ready for the weekend.

    :p

I wouldn't be captaining a player who hasn't played any football in the lead up due to injury but that's just me.

Lukaku/Kdb/Ozil... Think I'll stick with Lukaku

I have it on Vardy at the moment. Swansea haven't kept a CS since week 6.

If I knew for certain Coutinho was going to play 70+ mins I'd captain him. I have a feeling he probably will but don't want to risk it.

The alternative is Ozil but wouldn't the surprised to see him withdrawn early to keep him fresh for midweek. My head says Ozil but can't shake the feeling I'm gonna be burnt!

He's only missed two weeks. I don't think him needing minutes is a huge priority.

Captain going on form x fixtures i think moreno is a cracking shout against newcastle another 2 assists against saints even if 1 should have been his goal.
thats who i have it on all week....tbc

I think I'll captain Hazard, has a good fixture and he has been looking good the last few weeks, unlucky not to get more returns.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,366 ✭✭✭✭8-10

I'm the only one on Giroud then?

    See injuries thread.

Bournemouth, they of the worst defence in the PL, could be playing Ryan Alsopp, their third choice keeper at Stamford Bridge. Federici confirmed out and major doubts about Boruc after rumours from Poland during the week that he'd be out till New Year.

I wasn't considering captaining Haz but i may do now.

Think I'll go hazard as well

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,589 ✭✭✭✭Necronomicon

    Lukaku.

Was tempted by Ozil, but Arsenal's ridiculous injury situation coupled with back-to-back clean sheets for Sunderland would make me nervous.

    Also, Monday night captain ftw!

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,747 ✭✭✭Ziegler1988

    Kane(c) Vardy(vc) now

Voted Lukaku in the poll, but with Aguero out have brought in Costa (c)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 268 ✭✭Little Bubbles

Why all the love for hazard not like his on form banging in goals. I expect Chelsea to win but not convincing with what's gone on

I'm doing kdb. Might get a few

  • Registered Users Posts: 411 ✭✭TaytoCrisps

Going with Costa this week. Ozil VC . Costa will surely do well :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,787 ✭✭✭Benimar

Ozil (c), Vardy (vc) for me.

12 fails from 14 captains, so probably best to avoid captaining Mesut!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,400 ✭✭✭TacT

The desperate run continues! Sturridge getting the armband here.

  • Registered Users Posts: 64 ✭✭Fenson

    Firmino anyone?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,224 ✭✭✭✭SantryRed

    Have it on Ozil.

More likely to switch to Lukaku before the deadline tomorrow.

i think having him is enough of a differential. Id captain hazard atleast you know he will definetly start. Most dont even have a chelsea attacker never mind 2 and captaining 1 of them.
