Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Short-term fostering with resident cats

So since I'm not going away for Christmas I have volunteered to take in a rescue foster cat for a couple weeks.

I have two resident cats and I'm just wondering how others have dealt with the introductions in this situation?

My two cats are both very shy and nervous, although they took to each other remarkably quickly, obviously I can't be sure that'll happen with the foster. Just wondering if I should be doing the usual separation-and-scent-swapping, given that the foster cat might go back before they'd even be ready to mingle.

Long and short answer is yes; they may be gone before they meet up but you still should do scent swapping, separate room etc., feeding at the door etc. in case they meet earlier / things gets delayed :)
