Basic Korean food ingredients/pantry items - advice please

My Dad loves Korean food, he lived & worked there for a no. of years, and is now back home, I want to put together some Korean food ingredients into a hamper for him for Christmas, & I'm looking for advise on what to include (I'm assuming the Asian Market on Drury St.'s the best place)

I found the following list online, but wondered if anyone had anything else I should add to it please:

Sesame oil and seeds
Gochujang (hot pepper paste)
Gochukaru (hot pepper flakes)
Doenjang (fermented bean paste)
Seasoned seaweed (Kim)
Dried anchovies
Soy sauce (ganjang)

Some kimchi, definitely.

I'd include this book in the hamper, if I were you OP.

Don't forget the soju! and makgeolli (rice wine), if you can find it... and Korean beer like Hite/Cass (unless he's not a drinker, of course.)
Also the bright yellow pickled radish is another standard (usually found in long strips or cubed)
Pepero (like pocky)

I'd also include some shinramyun (the most popular Korean brand of instant noodles) -not very fancy, but he must have consumed his fair share of those!

He's a really nice guy too. Trained with him in ballymaloe and he also worked in petersham nurseries
