Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Was using viber out to ring landlines, 15c compared to 35c on Three, but the quality is unusable now (Wi-Fi/4G most of the time)

Is there anything similar to make cheap calls? Looked at whatsapp dallier in passing

All VoIP/Skype/WhatsApp type apps use your data so they will all have similar results. Best thing to do would be to look at your usage and try find a monthly plan that would suit.

I thought different app have better or worse quality?

The data is great, most of the time on 4g. The problem even happens on wifi

Its probably not the speed of your connection but the quality (latency, ping) what WiFi are you using? Even with a good broadband connection VoIP can be a pita sometimes.

I'd say most of the time I'm on 4g

Then the only other wifi id use is Efibre, gave up on free public wifi(except virgin free thing)

Get a ping test app on the play store, when you have problems ping a few places www.boards.ie, www.inex.ie, www.rte.ie etc. You'll find your pings are high. Networks are not just about speed, for VoIp latency and quality are more important figures. As has been said before even on Wi-Fi your pings could be high.

Yeah your 4g just wouldn't be reliable enough. To test your efibre connection you could always go a WhatsApp/Skype/Viber call from your PC on a wired connection to see if it improves things. It won't really fix your issue though. 4g just doesn't cut it a lot of the time.

Thanks for the replies and information, I assumed with fast speeds on 4G/Wifi it would be grand for VOIP, but I guess not

Ill just stick to the old fashioned way and if needs be change to a plan with minutes included
