Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why is Fellaini catching the ball on the ground there?

One of them should be putting that away

Clattenburg has had a mare today. Missed a load of small and big things today.

What's your opinion on Roy Keane and Paul Scholes? Could name more but we'll stick with them.

    Add Bastian to that list...

McNair is poor on the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Mightn't be the most beautiful football but we can't complain about the game being particularly boring

    EDIT: Except for maybe Korat!

McNair is poor on the ball.

Yeah, he struggles at this level. Huge improvements needed to make it at OT imo.

    |Was putting up the Xmas tree so only half watching. Looks an interesting game, but neither side seem able to put the ball into the back of the net...

A lot of huff and puff but little or no chances for Utd again,

Martial had probably the best chance,Reid got in the way of it

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,346 ✭✭✭Quandary

McNair has been stink, Mata, Lingard anonymous. Utd are dominating midfield but it doesn't matter when there is zero threat or penetration. Delivery into the box has been terrible but not surprising when you have a right back crossing from the left and a centre back crossing from the right.

Overall, a hugely disappointing performance from Utd in that first half.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,006 ✭✭✭edgecutter

Terrible once again. No attacking threat, poor crosses that are either over hit or can't beat the first man.

McNair and Mata have been really poor.

Jaysus, has McNair got blinkers on,running forward and given options yet doesn't see simple passes. His close control is shocking too.

Darmian is a good rb, but at left back with McNair right back gives us absolutely no threat.

McNair is plain and simple never going to be a premier league class full back, he is so technically poor I can't believe LVG picks him.

    Varela making his debut.

    McNair rightfully getting the hook

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,709 ✭✭✭✭Cantona's Collars

McNair off.We need to be quicker to 2nd balls dropping too.So many have dropped in West Ham's area and we missed them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,406 ✭✭✭Korat

Varela for McNair, hopefully we'll see some better crossing

    Huge 45 for united.

Not sure why van Gaal picks McNair. He's a complete liability and now we've had to waste a substitute to replace him.

Wtf Clattenburg, allowing the match to start before the sub comes on

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Reid keeps this up and he'll get MOTM

    Ah damn

There's the difference, we spend ages trying to get up the pitch with no intent and West Ham win it back and in 15 seconds they have tested our keeper. Why LVG can't see that this approach isn't working is beyond me.

Half arsed stuff from UTD. Very casual and nobody looks like they want it.

WH defending well but Utd have no great attacking flow. Reduced to half attempted crosses from the corner.

    WH deserve it I think.

Just think what a full strength squad West Ham would do to us.

A maximum of one phase of play everytime united have the ball, ridiculous turnover rate.

There is something funny about McNair getting the hook for a stinking half, but there are players in attack who rarely get the hook for 70 or 80 minutes of worse.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,217 ✭✭✭✭StringerBell

Fellaini has got to score. I dunno how he managed to miss.

Fellaini failed to score a tap in from 3 yards out. Kick it into Adrian's hand.

    Its on NBCSN.

Mad to see the difference it makes when a pass is just gone forward into feet instead of sideways out wide
