I'd love an electronic drafter with full EID and a surprise

There is one on done deal (ATL I think) under the heading "Simple Cow drafting"

I would go and look at it, except that we don't have any simple cows.

I'd be afraid ours would get the better of it before it was a week in the yard and we'd have to start all over again.

Saw that, the complete system has FTY parlour feeders also, which come in about 1500/unit, then 8 to 10k for the drafting system. If i pushed on over 130/140 cows and was the main labour unit here I'd give one serious consideration, but 2bh I'd no real ambitions to be stuck on my own here all the time (sounds quite depressing 2bh ha). I've been getting in one of my milkers to help lately with drying off/dosing etc, takes the pressure off totally, for the other few times I need to draft a tidy rope operated manual drafting system is hard to beat for its KISS approach.

We buy calves from a large dairy farmer and he has the best drafting system in the world - a collie dog. The same dog opens all gates, doors, pens on the farm via a rope tied to the handle and used to open the gates in the parlour before they became automated.
He can split, drive and load calves on both decks.
He also doubles up as a super guard dog :)

Could do with either spending a few quid fixed up the quad, or trading it in, seeing as it's Xmas I think I'm gonna do the latter lol. Zero money spend on any new shiny metal on the farm this year so it's guilt free ha.

    Santa visited early :phttps://donedeal.akamaized.net/quads/yamaha-yfm250-quad-bike/Full/50163832.jpeg

Happened here with two lads , one fella brought the others wife down to a pub car park to see him in action in the back seat . He thought he would get the husband off the scene and rent the bit of land but when she got rid of the husband she wouldn't let his "buddy " near the farm at all after she saw how sneaky he was !
