Night storage heater meter fault

My night storage heater meter (separate meter) is behaving erratically. It switches on every night at 11.30 pm but doesn't switch off when it's meant to. For example, the day before yesterday it didn't switch off until 6 pm. Yesterday it switched off at 8.30 am. Today, at 3.05pm, it's still on.
It makes regulating the heaters difficult.

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

    Thank you for your post.

Do you have an independent timer for your heaters or are they regulated by the time switch? Do all heaters go on and off at the same time?

We need you to confirm the following information:
    • Your full name
    • Your account number
    • The first line of your address
    • Your contact number or date of birth
    • Confirmation you are the account holder (a sentence stating this is sufficient)

    Thanks,
    Aoife

The heaters are regulated by the meter switch and all go on and off at the same time.

The meter didn't switch off at all yesterday. It has switched off this morning.

I have PM'd the required information.
