Flooding across Galway City and County

    Thought this might be a good idea to mention roads that people have found to be flooded across Galway City and County in the aftermath of Storm Desmond that people might be made aware of.

    I'll start off with County -

    Tuam:

    New Road and Milltown Road were flooded yesterday. Passable, but with caution.

    I have heard that parts of Claregalway are flooded.

    N63 – Finns Cross to Abbeyknockmoy
    Local Roads at Lisheenavalla, Claregalway – heavily flooded, passable with care – some houses under threat
    N18 Labane to Ardrahan
    R351 Woodford to Loughrea, passable with care
    Deerpark Road, Ballinasloe



    Spot Flooding – proceed carefully:

    N66 Gort to Loughrea
    N63 West of Abbeyknockmoy
    N84 North of Clonboo
    R355 Portumna to Ballinasloe
    Spiddal Road out of Moycullen at the playground
    Roads at Ballygar
    Cloonacauneen Road – opposite McHughs Bar
    Please note that this does not include all roads, flooding is to be expected on all routes.
