David Fitzgerald the councillor and auctioneer mentioned as part of the Primetime program tonight. He failed to declare that he owned 2 house on the bennetsbridge road.

Sure it's easy to forget. The forms are difficult :pac::pac::pac:

    From the RTE website:

David Fitzgerald, a Fine Gael councillor in Kilkenny did not declare two properties on the same street in Kilkenny City.

He said it was an “oversight”, that he could not explain it as he had previously listed them and that he had now submitted an amended declaration.

Will the Kilkenny clowns who voted for him still laugh at the Kerry clowns who vote for Healy-Rae...??

Could potentially be an oversight, though I've not looked into the implications and benefits he may have gained from not declaring it.

Still at face value doesn't seem as bad as TD's openly looking for payment

Still wrong, simple. He is an auctioneer and he forgot about two properties. Seems a bit suspect to me.

Oh its still wrong, I'm not making excuses at all by any means.

Just on a scale of wrongness it doesn't seem near as bad as looking for brown envelopes of money for helping to get planning permission for wind farms.

Yeah, it's not the end of the world. But it is current news about Kilkenny. It is a concern when over 40% of the politicians in this country cannot fill in a form correctly. This is a legal document, what else are these people forgetting.

Andrew Mcguinness forgot he was a director of a company as well. Like how do you forget this stuff? Andrew has since been removed as a director of that company since the investigation. If Andrew signed this form 2 weeks ago, fair enough but most likely it was at the start of the year when he signed it.

I wonder if he forgot that he's also on the Callan Community Network, maybe that's why we can't get any answers to the murky doings in the Friary there.

That sound very plausible. It's an honest mistake on his part.
