    Hi,

I noticed a device connected to my router momentarily, and I have accounted for all connected devices, and dont know what it is.

    Dec 8 05:21:15 dnsmasq-dhcp[251]: DHCPDISCOVER(br0) d4:4b:5e:77:86:66
    Dec 8 05:21:15 dnsmasq-dhcp[251]: DHCPOFFER(br0) 192.168.1.167 d4:4b:5e:77:86:66
    Dec 8 05:21:15 dnsmasq-dhcp[251]: DHCPREQUEST(br0) 192.168.1.167 d4:4b:5e:77:86:66
    Dec 8 05:21:15 dnsmasq-dhcp[251]: DHCPACK(br0) 192.168.1.167 d4:4b:5e:77:86:66

and the times of the connections i weird.

Anywhere to dig a bit deeper using the mac address details?

Have you looked up the manufacturer of the device from the mac address?

Try here http://www.macvendorlookup.com/ gives TAIYO YUDEN CO., LTD. then look for a device made by them or that has their equipment built into it.

Is this a wireless router? Could somebody in range have attempted to connect?

DHCP would only happen AFTER auth, so that means they have a valid key already.

You could always just block that mac address and just wait to find out what stops working.

Fing is a useful app for your phone, it will show all devices connected to your network with ip addresses, Mac addresses, manufacturers, host names and even services running on the devices.

    You could also try
    netscan.exe
    https://www.softperfect.com/products/networkscanner/

you can assign a friendly name like my ipad or my amiko alien2 :-)
and it will remember the names when they connect making any non recognised devices stand out
Chances are its just a phone or some thing like that that you have forgotten
