2000ad Annual Year?

I'm trying to identify the year of an 2000ad Annual that I read as a kid.

I remember there was a story whereby there were two guys having a disagreement. Then, suddenly they both turn into horrific demonic vampires. They fight and one of them maybe dies. I don't remember the name of the characters or the title of the story.

It spooked me as a kid. But, I would love to find it again.

Can you identify it for me?

I viewed this comic annual in the early 1980s, though it could be from the 1970s.

I wouldn't have read 2000AD that early, but was enthralled by the "Classic 2000AD" collections that came out. It grouped all the stories of major characters. Remember reading one on Rogue Trooper that, like you, just stuck with me.

OK I think this might be it, One of Tharg's Future Shocks, But It was in the Comic, Not an annual. Unless it was reprinted.

Nope. The artwork was bluish and black in colour. I think the confrontation takes place in a cavern/cave. The characters were like vampires.
