Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Virgin Horizon box stuck on "installation"

My dad just upgraded his ancient Chorus digital box to horizon.
When we power on the box a welcome message appears on the TV and "installation" is displayed on the led of the box.
The welcome message disappears after a few seconds but "installation" is displayed on the lcd for over an hour.

We have rebooted 4 times and the same thing happens each time.

Anyone seen this? Rang support to get an engineer out but it will be next week and I was hoping to get him up and running over the weekend.

1 thing to note is we do not have a upc junction box like it says in the manual.
We simply swapped out the cable from back of digital box to back iof horizon box.

It can take up to a half a hour for it to come on board so leave it plugged in make sure all cables and secure and it should be fine

Had the exact same problem a month ago. I talked to about five different people on UPC/Virgin's helpline and they all tried some remote rebooting etc. All said the same thing, that it would work 'this time' and leave if for 20 mins.

Well it never worked. Engineer came out the next day and replaced the box within 5 mins. All working again.
