Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. What's Arter's family tragedy that Martin Tyler referred to there?

    Phil Jones?

I don't care if McNair is injured. That's pathetic.

Credit to Bournemouth they deserve to win

Squad is so depleted, not one leader on the pitch....depressing end to the match

    And another injury...McNair now

Jones on at the end? What the ****s the point

Could of brought on Young at least he could have had a go

I saw on Bournemouth's Twitter feed that he and his partner lost their child at birth this week. Damn, that's awful.

Apparently he decided he wanted to play today. Makes me admire his performance even more.

    Bournemouth the ones pushing.

    Says a lot.

Honestly, Phil Jones should be docked wages for that foul.

This really is the worst United team I have ever watched in the last twenty five years

    Long may it continue

    Embarrassing.

Bournemouth completely deserved that. Their hunger, desire and their overall skill levels were better than us.

Not one leader in our team. Absolutely pathetic.

Subs were baffling. More injuries too. Going to be a long Christmas period.

I think it's time for LVG to contemplate philosophy on a warm beach somewhere and time for Ancelotti to give up the fishing trips and head to Old Trafford.

With this result and Newcastle's win last week, the table is really starting to look even worse for Chelsea-lose against Leicester and they're in genuine trouble IMO.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

    Boom!!

Fully expected United to get a result as they apparently only have problems against teams who put 10 players behind the ball and Bournemouth don't know how to play like that.

Van Gall is starting to make a lot of the bizarre decisions managers make as their time comes to an end. Hopefully he's kept on though.

Well done to Bournmouth. Particularlly to Arter in the circumstances..who is a very good player and as another poster said should get a chance in the friendlies for us.

As a United fan.. i was worried about the fixture becauce of our injuries. But that has been compounded by our senior players not stepping up and questional tactics and substitutions by LVG... we went out of that game whimpering... no shot or chance in the last 20 minutes and Bournmouth easily closed the game out... you can blame so much on injuries but why the squad isnt deeper is down to one man...

That big tank driver Van Gal is an out and out bluffer.

I agree its not really the Utd way, not this early in the season anyway. He will get to the summer anyway.

Thoroughly enjoyed that match. Bournemouth were terrific, very well deserved victory for them. Loving the work LVG is doing at Man U as well. Just very much positives all round really.

Van Gaal clearly isn't getting sacked when you're 3 points (probably 4 tomorrow) off the top of league. Hysteria levels are reaching an all-time high. You're not Barcelona or Bayern. You can't realistically expect to win just because.

Great stuff by Bournemouth. They had to win their last game of the season 6 or 7 years ago to avoid dropping into the conference. They have now beaten utd and Chelsea in a week. Play nice football and haven't spent much money also have been very unlucky with injuries. I really hope they stay up.

Bournemouth should really have increased their goal difference tonight.

Nothing more left to say about Utd. He has to go. And sooner rather than later at this stage. Klopp should have been brought in. Not many Utd fans will admit it online, but it kills them to see him at Liverpool.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,796 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

Good result for United to keep the score down. It really was asking for too much for that team to go toe to toe against a high technical, ball-playing English team.

Actually thats BS... in any of the United thread the overall preference has been to have Pep as our next manager.. i cant remember anyone calling for Klopp.

Okay United have been riddled with injuries lately. But what i really don't get is what LVG is trying to achieve on the pitch. His tactics don't make a lot of sense at times. And some of his team selections are questionable and not using the best options in the best positions. And then when he has the chance to bring on players and change shape. He does something mad and leaves more experienced players on the bench. Won't use the often thrown around term 'spoofer' for him. But some of his actions read like someone that isn't too clued in.

Mata was United's best player against Wolfsburg and gets hauled off for Powell. Then today Fellaini was United's most threatening player and he gets subbed for Powell. It's like LVG lost some cruel bet where he must take off his best player on the day and replace with someone that has been injury plagued and recently expressed disillusion with the game. Madness.

Hard to see any manager getting sacked from 4th place (5th if Spurs win tomorrow) less than halfway through the season. Has it ever happened?

Even Fergie, doing a stint as crowd steward, was shocked at how bad Man U are.
