Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If it could be hand picked, England, Switzerland, Hungary and Ireland would be the group I would go with.

Destined for Spain, Italy and Czech Republic to be in our group.

With the top 4 3rd place teams to go through, I think we have a decent chance no matter who we get.

The OP hates France for some reason.

I think it'll be middle of the road, won't get the hardest teams in pot 1, but not England either. Same for other groups, so be in with a shout of a top 3 progress.

Fixed. It was a copy and paste job :)

I want a fresh draw, with exciting new opposition that we haven't played against competitively for at least a decade.

    So England/Portugal from Pot1.
    Ukraine Pot2.
    Hungary or Romania Pot3.

This would be also have the bonus of being a group we should qualify from.

Any combinations with an excess of Germany/Poland/Spain/Italy/Croatia would be a disappointing outcome in every sense.

    Rehearsal draw:

Republic of Ireland, Hungary, Italy, England.

So we wont be getting that!?

No reason it couldn't happen again in the main draw.

Hopefully t'f**k the draw will be kinder this time around. Fair enough, Ireland used up their luck last time drawing Estonia in the playoff to get there, but this time they got through a difficult group and the highest-seeded team in the playoff. Not to go too far down the path of superstition, but I feel like the team did work harder to get here this time, so it would be nice to see them catch some sort of a break.

True, but my god his voice grates something serious. He's Robbie Keane's final form.

An hour and a half for this is feckin' ridiculous.

i think the voice adds to his charm tbh, half expecting him to be saying 'story bud' when introduced.
that & the fact he doesn't seem to have been media trained too much, the stuff he'll come out with at times

apparently the rehearsal paired Republic of Ireland, England, Italy and Hungary together.

    that would be interesting!

You would think would have it outside of match times or even match days.

I never said it does. Why not Monday morning at 11am and suit everyone. You're going to have players going in at half time looking to see who they got.

Not sure if you guys have seen this but Group E have a disadvantage as do Group D so everyone wants to avoid those

Edit - England Group B so mission accomplished

5.30pm on a Saturday is far more suitable for me.

It is to do with who plays who in the second round. Teams in E have to play teams who won or came second in their groups. The other groups get to play third place finishers

Presumably he means groups E and F. The winners of these play a runner up whilst the winners of ABCD get to play a third placed team.

    Group f would be ideal
