    Hello,

I've been granted planning permission and I'm now at the stage where I need to decide which heating system I'm gonna choose for my house

I know that heating cost is less with Heat Pump but it's probably more expensive to install, I've heard someting like 7 years to get your money back if you switch from oil for ex.

My house is 2200 sqf, 1 and a half storey, 4 beds

Do you have any idea, roughly, how much it would cost to have

1- AWHP+UFH downstairs and rads upstairs
    2- LPG boiler + rads

    Thank you

I think this is crossing with your other thread. ....you haven't yet discovered which works for you imho. ...I think you're comparing apple's & oranges. ..

Gas boiler + rads cheaper I'd have thought. Oil burner cheaper again.

I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Yes, you're right. I have another thread on the topic but this one was more regarding costs, maybe I should have ask this question in the same thread

I'm still wondering which is best for me. Now, I'm down to installation cost to make my decision because I don't want/can't have a big mortgage so sounds like LPG would be better for me but my Advisory report is claiming that LPG gas boiler + rads is more expensive than AWHP + UFH ... makes no sense.
Going to contact vendors for both products tomorrow to have a better idea

I haven't got costs of AWHP yet but I was advised to go with ufh upstairs as the radiators that you use with a low heat AWHP are nearly as expensive especially if you have sensors in each room, I guess it depends on what your second floor is made from, hollow core etc

ASHP won't work properly with a std rad to FF and UFH to GF set up. If you're looking at rads at all, I think it's LPG or Oil you should be looking at.

I still think your Advisory Report is AWOL.
