a rain sensor so it will retract when it rains or some other way of getting to to retract: this assumes elec.
as u know they are not cheap.
also the material is probably good for 5 years sun exposure, u remember what sun looks like:D
so look at ease of replacing material in the cassette and ease of access to get at it
