A few ideas for some presents to help the local economy:
    • Obviously first thing, support your local city shops or indeed Tramore and Dungarvan
    • vouchers for any local shop/restaurant/
    • money to local charity
    • loads of home made crafts in garter lane
    • Beer - metalman, dungarvan..who doesn't like the gift of booze
    • Whiskey and spirits - downes whiskey, muldoons, thin gin
    • check out the design shop near cathedral square, loads of Waterford and local lovely designed stuff and quality too
    • Waterford crystal - surprising stuff that would be great present, not just some nice wine glasses but decorations, jewellery etc, worth a look
    • local jewellery designer/manufacturer- button an co. lovely stuff for the lady or man who likes a bit of jewellery
    • Obviously books from the book centre, place in City square, etc cant beat feel of a nice book (not into e-reader)
    • Loads of stuff for sale down in Winterval, bought a lovely chopping board there last year, nice thing, wasn't that expensive either and look and feels quality.
Plenty of local to Waterford and close by food producers too, relishes, sauces, biscuits, amazing range of stuff out there.

Im sure ye can come up with more, anyway its all about supporting local, economy has picked up some what, retail and restaurant trade suffered like rest of us, if we want a vibrant city centre, need to support it.

I'm hoping to pick up some locally produced gifts from the stalls/shops before the week is out.
