AED in Lucan Village

I noticed an AED just outside the Delhi Darbar in the village.
I've been sort of thinking about setting up a Community First Responders for Lucan.
I met with the national ambulance service a while back- they will provide the equipment.
There are plenty of trained people knocking about, doing first aid and cardiac response training with their jobs and sport clubs.

With a population greater than Clondalkin (according to SDCC) there is a good need for a community response. I have first hand knowledge of waiting 35 mins for an ambulance to arrive to a cardiac casualty in Lucan.

Would anyone out there be interested in volunteering their time and training?

Derek Keating TD and a local first aid trainer / supplier have had something like this on the go for a good while. I'm not sure if it has stayed operating but I suspect its the reason the AED was located there in the first place. Maybe check with Keatings office

I was looking into this recently. Has there been any traction in a group being set up?
