As for choosing one, it really depends what type of bags she likes. Does she have a particular style or has she mentioned a style she'd like?

Does she want something to tote (carry) on her arm? Or something she can wear across her body?

What about size? Large or small?

Does she like a details (studs, charms) or prefer plainer bags?

Does she like traditional colours like brown or black or would she like a coloured leather?
