Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Been looking forward to this all day. Can plucky little Chelsea overthrow high flying Leicester in their own back yard?

Really will help set up a very interesting Christmas period of football. Huge signal of intent for Leicester if they win today, or will Chelsea get back to their old ways and put themselves in a position to be in contention for Top 4 again in the new year.

Costa acting the maggot already, Morgan is just going to rile him up all game :)

Looks like the groundskeepers had a bit of fun with the pitch.

On the nbc stream, a sponsor named 'Knob' was shown when Costa was on camera.

Vardy is some nuisance, ridiculous pace.

    'Plucky little Chelsea'! :pac:

    Love it.

But seriously, this is one we have to win to demonstrate there is still character and ability in this set up. Having said that, I'm not especially confident. The best I think we'll do against the EPL contenders is get a draw.

Prove me wrong, Costa. Prove me wrong.

Leicester looking to go back to against Chelsea who are 1 point above relegation. What an upside-down season we're having.

Did anyone place a bet at the start of the season on this scenario?

    Soft Hazard.

Hazard is a an awful soft player.

Teams best player and he hurts his hip and he wants off in a must win game.

    Think Hazard wants Christmas off.

Hazard really doesn't give a crap this season. Surely Mourinho can't turn this around now and get everyone back to giving their all.

That's controversial, nothing wrong with him

How can he when his best player does that?

Fair enough he hit the ground at a bit of pace, but it didn't look that bad. Bit sore alright but this isn't a match to be soft in.

    good goal

Vardy's movement was fantastic.... quick & late.... perfect, very hard to track & defend.

All the fun has gone out of Chelsea losing. Apparently you can have too much of a good thing.

Great ball by Mahrez. Chelsea can only wish that Costa would make a run like Vardy instead of scrapping with the opposition out by the corner flag.

Zouma was no better. Both caught on their heels while Vardy took the chance on the ball getting to him. I'd imagine Mourinho will be raging about that.

Is there any other team in the PL that scores that type of goal, at the moment? I'm not so sure.

Fantastic ball in and first time finish.

Mahrez and Vardy are just playing beyond anything I even remotely imagined at the start of the season.

    Because he's a wimp.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

And I don't see how you can blame Terry for that goal, tbh. Ball is in just of an unbelievable quality, and matched with a perfect run.

Terry's positioning isn't bad at all.

Fancy Costa for a red card tonight. Leicester playing him perfectly.

In our very uneducated opinion, it looked soft.

His gait as he walked off looked fine.

    Chelsea are bang average.

Not an ounce of threat in the final 3rd. Nothing.

Same **** time and time again. Ball goes wide, Hazard/Pedro/Willian/whoever stops and eventually plays it backwards. All the while there's **** all movement from Costa. Game after game.

Costa is just too preoccupied with annoying people to actually do anything worthwhile. Pedro just fell apart after the first couple of games. Chelsea are in bits. Thought they turned a corner against Porto the other night, it really looked like the players were back onside but not now.

Without Willian they would be closer to Villa than anyone.

They're giving nothing. Jose is gone soon, I'm seriously concerned about slipping further if something isn't done.

Mahrez is magnificent; a truly gifted footballer. He and Ozil may be the two stand out players of the season so far but there is no way Ozil could do what Mahrez is doing for Leicester. At the same time there is nothing to say that Mahrez could perform like this for a top club and in games where he is in the team with all the possession.
