Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think its just proof of the cyclic nature of football. Its pretty fascinating to watch it develop.

It's the simplest of gameplans too. Every week.

Pressure the ball, and break directly and quickly. Don't be scared of giving the ball away, just get it in behind the opponents as fast as possible.

    Brilliant to watch.

How long more does Roman stick with Mourinho ? It's clear he has lost the dressing room and the plot quite honestly.

They do genuinely seem set up for a relegation battle if they keep going like this and Mourinho doesn't seem able to halt the slide. It's really quite unbelievable.

What's the story with Willian? Like what's he for?

Free kicks. He's lethal at them.

    Pedro has to score that

Probably the only Chelsea player you could say is having a decent season.

I have to keep reminding myself that Chelsea's Pedro is the same Pedro that was at Barcelona.

Won't make top 4. Saw plenty of teams do this before and then slide downwards.

    I agree chelsea won't make top 4

    Chelsea are up 'Knob Creek'.

  • Unreal stuff, based on Chelsea's current points total they need at least 10 wins and 4 draws to stay up?!

How many games left in the season?

    Open to correction

Chelsea also not having any luck, some last minute defending needed twice now by Leicester.

You cannot compare Leicester to them. They have a lot of quality and spirit.

It really suits them that Chelsea have to win, as well. They are perfect for setting those two banks of four, and allowing Vardy and Mahrez kill teams on the counter.

Those two will likely win them points in games that they don't deserve anything.

At the start of the year, they were very much underestimated, and every team went out to attack them. At this stage of the season, confidence must be sky high for them, and that is huge in football. So, even if teams are a lo more aware and far less naive to their threats, with the form and confidence they have, they're going to give everyone a game.

Its the story of the year to see how they perform until the season's end, for me.

50 points would leave them safe alright.

Not to mention the two in form attackers in the league.
Unless they get injured I can't see who's going to stop the pair

You'd never guess who won the league last year, and who was bottom at Christmas.

Leicester's, in the long run. They just can't stay up there conceding that many goals.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,033 ✭✭✭✭Richard Hillman

This is the true test of Leicester and how they can deal with pressure. if they cannot deal with 10 minutes of Chelsea pressure they won't be able to win the league.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

Gonna be a long 10+ minutes for Leicester, I think.

This is the sort of thing where I think Ranieri doesn't actually know what he's doing.

Surely you take Ulloa off, and leave your pace on?

Perhaps he wants someone who'll offer more of a target/relief for the defenders to launch it to, so it doesn't just result in wave after wave of Chelsea attacks.

Still has pace in Vardy and Albrighton too, I suppose.
