    Anyone considering it?

I like the idea, but not how much hardware it's going to cost. Still....RAM is cheap.

ITs a very positive tech so the sites can eject all the nasty vulns browsers and third parties, if reducing the attack surface is important and i believe it is then this and others like it stand to make a lot of mula in the future . Wonder what protections they themselves will employ if any ? I would imagine they will have some baseline sec on the vapps that would house this and the ACL controls or lack of from user endpoint has me wet in my trousers.

It looks great. My laptop [an older XPS 15] has been tested and seems to mostly work.

I can see myself using it in future.

A commenter on Hacker News said "You can run Windows, some Linux distro and Whonix (a Torified VM) all at the same time."

    Is this the case?

The screenshots don't illustrate say a windows app and a linux app open on the same screen.

    [answering my own question]
It looks like you can. This page url]https://www.qubes-os.org/doc/windows-appvms/[/url shows that apps from all operating systems can be integrated into the Qubes system.
    Really cool

User here. Hardware does not have to be that expensive.

Go on....what are you running on?

I bought a mid-range laptop recently that will arrive in about 2 weeks. It comes with 8G of RAM and I'm pretty sure I'd be happy to bump that to 16. I saw 32 mentioned in the Ars Technica article I read.

I think the 32GB was for the size of a usb stick for testing. My laptop [dell xps 15 L502x] has a max of 16gb and someone got it running on it.
