    The game seems like a step backwards from BF4 but hopefully it'll improve in time as BF4 took awhile to get right.

    Being set in WW1 I always thought it'd suffer from a lack of weapon, attachment and vehicle variety and it does. And not that I'm really bothered but why are there so few medals and dog tags to unlock?

    Things I hope they'll fix or improve:
    Lack of practice mode.
    End of round menu and start menu are really laggy.
    Can't exit from end of round screen after first 10 seconds.
    Rounds taking 3 times longer to load than BF4.
    Spotting isn't working properly.
    Not being able to sprint after spawning on someone that is crouched or prone.
    Be able to see that someone is opting out of being revived or get rid of it altogether.
    Make horses more vulnerable to gunfire.

    I'm enjoying it overall though :D

    Go prone and they cant reach you with the sword. They can still trample you with the horse of course but most the time theyll try go to the side of you to use the sword.

    Spotting isn't working properly.

    At first I thought it wasn't working properly but I've gotten the hang of it now. It's harder to spot enemies, which is a good thing IMO. In BF4 it was too easy to spam the tag button to highlight distant snipers or groups. My main issue is that barely anyone uses it.

    So far I think BF1 is a welcome change from recent FPS. The change to WWI brings in weapons which aren't as polished and this means you have to make every shot count.

    It's unfortunate that so many players seem too focused on their K:D ratio; if I had a Euro for every time a medic has ran over my dead body without reviving me.

    It's unfortunate that the servers seem to have hit a lot of snags - they're down again at the minute. Spawn locations could do with tidying up; I was capturing an unoccupied outpost earlier today when a heavy tank just spawned in front of me. Spawned to a squad mate who was being run over by another tank, taking me with him.

    Overall it's the best online FPS I've played in a long time.

    Yeah I said this previously, servers being down so much is just dismal at this stage. Its not like this is the first time they have released a MP game ffs.

    Jeez haven't played in a good few days now. Is it just a ruse for them to open the overpriced, not really customisable, rent a server?

    Anyone noticing issues on the map Sinai Desert in Rush mode.

    Some teams seem to be getting tanks when they shouldn't be. For instance the final bomb in the fort.

    We know we have destroyed all their tanks and they should not be even offered tanks at the last spawn point.

    Next time when we attacked on the same map we were given no tanks at that same point.

    You just stand behind a tree, put a tree in between you and them and then pop out and shoot when they run by, stand behind it again when they run at you. Infuriating as a horseman...end up just running off.

    Scar,Amiens,Blitz, Empires Edge,Argonne forest and Either monte Grappa or Sinai would be my map rotation.

    I could play Argonne Forest 24/7. My favourite of the lot.What are people preferring as their Medic primary. I prefer the Factory Rigotti over the lot.

    What if I told you, they kept most of the best maps back...for DLC ....to make people get sick of the standard maps and BUY the DLC !


    Aftermath and karkand from BF3 were the only expansions with decent maps ,the rest were rubbish, I struggle to think of any really good maps from BF4 or its DLC.

    Having a serious issue in Argonne Forest on Conquest. When playing as the German Empire some people are able to walk into the spawn seemingly without the 10 seconds out of bounds penalty. It happened a few times and as far as I can tell it seems to be an exploit. They are somehow further behind your deployment than your own team spawn, they are instantly at your back upon spawning. This seems to be a similar glitch that existed in Operation Locker in BF4 where they somehow get behind your deployment on the Russian team and spawn kill.

    So far I've only seem a couple of people using it and it doesn't seem to be totally widespread.

    Most servers would still end up running vanilla rotations judging by BF4's history. Very few admins ran a decent server that didn't get salty after a couple of stabbings.

    Aftermath had some of the best maps for Rush, for BF4 I would say Dragon's Teeth and Final stand (Funnily enough if you mix both maps from those expansions you get the extreme of both Infantry and Vehicle maps), only thing I would remove is the Rorsch and that silly hover tank. Other than those I wouldn't be a fan of China Rising or Naval Strike, not sure if I could count Second Assault or not as those were technically BF3 maps.

    Operations is absolutely brilliant. Try get on the attacking team before the game starts tho, the difference in exp points compared to when your defending is insane.

    Also, if your team is in any way decent when defending, and you deplete the other teams tickets to start another round, they get the OP behemoth anyways :rolleyes: Most people dont know how to take them down fast, so end up getting pushed back straight away.

    Loving operations with my squad, teamwork really shows its strength in it which I love.

    Servers are still trash now, hate when you select the server and the "loading game" message is on screen and it just gets stuck there loading game for ages. You cant even back out to main screen you have to CTRL ALT DELETE out and close BF1 and relaunch it ffs.

    Why do all the Irish servers go AWOL during the day and only show up at night time.....really bizzare.

    Does anyone on PS or XB1 actually use aim assist? Am I being a tool having it turned off? Never needed it on pc but seem to be getting owned easily a lot of the time!

    Also on operations. Everytime I get into a game of it, It is only ever one map! Are they going to give servers the chance to tailor them and also give the user a chance to browse diff servers running that mode?

    Selbstlader Marksman mated with the british revolver secondary is my medic loadout . Absolutely love that rifle its accurate at long range dealy accurate with a good rate of fire at medium range and its a decent hip fire at close range and it has a large magazine . Its a fantastic gun . And agreed the forest map is superb :cool:

    I turned off aim assist because it annoys me having to almost drag my crosshairs off someone if I'm prioritizing my targets - I prefer fluid movement.

    When I'm joining Operations I get to choose which Front I'm fighting and it shows which maps are in each area. (Image Link)

    If I choose "Conquer Hell"

    I first have to play on the Chateau (Ballroom Blitz)
    If the attackers win then it will change to Argonne Forest.
    Once the defenders repeals the attacking team 3 times the game will end.

    They're radically changing Suez in the upcoming patch - now going to be bigger, more vehicles, and with five dispersed flag points instead of three. They received a huge amount of negativity from it, though I find it pretty OK really.

    I thought aim assist was onky active in single player?

    Thats great. It is a ridiculous map when it comes to balancing.

    Too many mortar spammers on that map. Not to mention halfway through a round all the buildings are in pieces so there's usually very little cover. Having only 3 flags for 64 players to compete for is a complete clusterfock. It's a tdm map not a conquest map as is.

    Its the spiritual successor to Metro and Locker but with without the chance of being penned in your base to the same extent.

    Not the kind of map I care for, I prefer tactical play, but as you say, every building gets leveled pretty quickly which ruins it further.

    I've also never played a competitive round with multiple flag changes.

    Its usually one team getting owned for 5-10 mins.

    Hope that expansion is true, would be great news.

    Great news on the changes, point B is a joke on conquest. I'm either mowing down 12-13 guys in one life from a window, or geting trapped in a spawn -die cycle trying to defend it. The extra 2 points will make it much better.
