Want to spend Xmas afternoon sipping on a couple of Old Fashioned.

Assured the large ice cube is a must if I don't want a watery cocktail.

Anyone know of somewhere in Dublin that stocks large ice moulds like that. Preferably spheres, but not essential

    Hi Max,

There are a couple of shops at the bottom of Grafton Street that deal in cigars and whiskey, they may stock what you're looking for.

James Fox is one of them.

    Google "tobacconist Grafton street"

If you're passing, it's worth checking out TKMaxx.

I've gotten some Sharper Image sphere's and cubes there. Quality of the sphere mould isn't as good as the more expensive ones, but it does the trick. Otherwise whiskey shops, or more likely kitchen supply shops are worth checking out.

I've a few sets that I picked up in the US, the best are the sphere moulds that just hold one sphere, rather than the ones that hold 2-6 and are a pain in the arse to get out.

Minion/egg shaped ice mould using a Kinder egg. :) It's doesn't 'swirl' as nicely in the tumbler as a sphere but they work well in chilling your whisky without watering it down.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

You can buy ice sphere moulds in Muji on Chatham St. That's where I got mine.

I am tempted by the Death Star moulds...
