Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

Anyone have a recommendation for coaxial cable, either a brand or reputable online store?

    Cheers

This site goes into some detail about the best coax
    http://www.satcure.co.uk/tech/cable.htm

However if you need a premium type cable you can get it on ebay
    http://www.ebay.ie/itm/Satellite-TV-Coaxial-Cable-15m-Webro-WF100-2-F-Connectors-CT100-Copper-Core-/390154324590?hash=item5ad7028a6e:g:U44AAOSwrklVCGOp

    But its pricey enough

This is dead cheap http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001U4H0OE but its worked fine for a few long runs for me.

Any point staying away from cca or going for quad Shielded?

The run is about 50m, partially underground and we are 5km from an am transmitter which has line of sight to about 20m of the run

To test that cheap stuff as couldn't be sure if I needed to mount the dish a long way from the house due to the hillside I put a connector on each end of the cable and connected the full 100m. I didn't check the signal strength but still got a picture. In the end I got away with a 35m run part underground and part alongside ESB cables but nothing else nearby to cause interference.

I was ready to buy more expensive cable but didn't need to.
