    Hi folks,

I'm going to get my Mam and Dad a weekend away in Galway for Christmas present. The actual weekend that they'll be in Galway will be the 12th to the 14th of Feb.

Could anybody recommend a nice Hotel for a married couple in their 60's ( Youthful 60's mind ;) ) somewhere that is close proximity to the City so they can pop in and out for food and drinks etc?

    Thanks. 😀

House hotel is the nicest 'central' hotel IMO.

Close to everywhere but not so central that you can't sleep with noise.

I love the meyrick but ask for a nice room, they have varying standards.

Stayed in the meryick recently and the room was awful. Looked like it was in the older part. Parking was also a nightmare. Good location though.

Park House is perfect for that demographic.

The Radisson is a three minute walk to Eyre Sq, no need for a taxi!

I second the Park. Have stayed there twice. Parking can be a pain though. There is a car park, but it's tiny so you might be unlucky.

House is quieter than Park, both very central.
Victoria is quiet depending on room and also very close to town.
