Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    On Sky Sports I presume

The home side are quietly putting together a fine season, the top promoted side but its gone somewhat unnoticed thanks to Leicester City. The home side have won their last three PL games while Liverpool have not won the last two. A win tomorrow for will put Liverpool above the hosts. 2 points off the current top 4 (ignoring g/d)

For the visitors Milner and Mignolet are absent along with the longer term absentees, Lovren is out for a couple more weeks. Sakho has been mentioned as starting but its 50/50 at best and Sturridge is of course missing.

That means a debate as to start Origi (4 goals in recent games) or Benteke or neither and go with the LFC (Lallana, Firmino, Coutinho).

    Bogdan
    Clyne--Skrtel--Toure--Moreno (maybe Sakho)
    Hendo-Lucas-Can
    Lallana-Coutinho
    Firmino

    is how I'd go.

Skrtel and Toure would give me the fear. Let's hope Sakho is back. I feel a draw.

Liverpool have been performing better against teams ahead of them in the league, a nervy 2-1 to the Kloppites

Hopefully we can keep Ighalo quiet anyhow, but I think he'll relish playing against our defence. I'm looking forward to seeing how Bogdan does in his first for us in the league, hopefully better than Mignolet of late anyhow.

Skrtel and Toure up against in-form Deeney and Ighalo? There will be blood.

Score draw. Front three to cancel out Skrtel and Toure.

Anyone saying they need to keep Ighalo quiet only looks at stats.

Anything good that's done by Watford goes through Troy Deeney. He's the man they need to shut out.

I didn't know Mignolet was out, what's wrong with him?

I have as much faith in Bogdan as I do Mignolet anyway

    Slight hamstring strain,I think.

Says a lot about both Watford and Liverpool that I'm looking at this game with a looot of nerves. Deeney and Ighalo are an excellent strike force against what is far from Liverpool's best defence. Toure and Skrtel is the stuff of nightmares against pacy or strong players. Suppose there's a chance that Klopp might choose Can in there?

If I was picking the team, I'd be going with the same front 3 that did well against City and Chelsea. Taking Milner and Mignolet as injured...

    Bogdan
    Clyne - Skrtel - Can - Moreno
    Henderson - Lucas - Allen
    Lallana - Firmino - Coutinho

Not our best, but I'd be more confident of Can in the back 4 than Toure I think.

Props to Watford for an absolutely brilliant start to the season. They really would be the story of the season if Leicester weren't top!!

Disagree. Have seen them a good bit and while Ighalo is technically raw he has that Vardy/Suarez type trait of constantly harassing defenders and annoys them into making mistakes. I think he will give Skrtel problems.

    Very excited for this one.

If there's one criticism of Watford this year, it's been their performances against the bigger sides. They gave too much respect to United a couple of weeks ago, and really should have been 2/3-0 down by half time. The second half was a much better affair and they were very unlucky to not get at least a point.

Hopefully we get at Liverpool from the word go today. Not confident in this one though, think Liverpool to win 2-1.

Haven't really been any shock results this weekend, hopefully Liverpool can get the win and provide one here.

    Confirmed #LFC team against @WatfordFC:

    Bogdan,
    Clyne, Skrtel, Sakho, Moreno,
    ----Hendo--Lucas--Can,
    ----Lallana, Coutinho,
    Firmino

Confirmed #LFC substitutes: Fulton, Toure, Randall, Allen, Ibe, Origi, Benteke.

The ideal side for me right now.

    Watford

Gomes; Nyom, Britos, Cathcart, Ake; Capoue, Watson; Abdi, Deeney, Jurado; Ighalo

    Subs:

Arlauskis, Holebas, Behrami, Guedioura, Anya, Diamanti, Oulare

That Firmino was playing with Coutinho and Lallana rather than bumbling Benteke.

Like the line up and great to see Sakho back.

Good to see the best defender in the league back. Him and Nevlor (x2) will have come back from season threatening injuries in the amount of time Sturridge has been out with a hamstring strain.

Harsh but true. Pretty damning in its own way.

    Harsh but true. ....

Not at all true, people (some in this case seemingly) hear ligament damage and think season threatening. It was a 6 week injury, there was never any talk of Sakho being out for the season once the injury was assessed.

Seriously though, can't keep giving away goals like that and getting away with it - which we haven't been.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Ok, let's buy a fúcking keeper who can fúcking catch or fúcking punch the ball properly.

I'm sick of this absolute shít.

Incredible error x 2, looks a total goon of a keeper.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,404 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

That's the second time he's started a match that hes let in a stupidly early goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

Did he not kick it out of his hands. Should have been a free kick

No it shouldn't. He didn't have the ball under his control.

No - it was a calamity from a keeper with previous!

Nope, from what I saw Bogdan hadn't a hold of the ball, he failed to get it into his hands after dropping it first time.

The ball hit off the ref in the build up and went to a Watford player about 5 seconds before the corner. These things happen, and I'm not trying to say the goal shouldn't have stood, so cool your outrage jets please. I was being a bit tongue in cheek.
