    lashing here in south west donegal this last couple of hours. very big gusts of wind with a few massive gusts in the last half hour. time to fill the flask.

    Achill Island Coastguard reporting 135 kmh with trees down and power out, check out their facebook page and it's shared by the Irish Coastguard who say it should be red given the wind

    Very stormy here in south tipp - feels way more than a yellow warning wind - just out in it and very strong gusts and very noisy. Stay safe people!!

    The Southern end of that squall line looks as if its almost stalled around Single / Brandon area of Kerry.

    Almost looks like its going to rotate clockwise round the pinned souther end if you play the sequence...

    Looks like the squall has lost all its power just as it hit my house in west clare. It's not noticeably heavier or windier.

    Met Eireann's aviation chart for 00Z has the cold front lying from Malin Head to Waterford and moving northeastwards at 30 knots.
    Associated weather is light rain, occasionally moderate, with localised heavy bursts. Clear in the western third of the country.

    A trough moves towards the southwest coast at 20 knots and has locally moderate rain/hails showers with isolated heavy rain showes/thunderstorms.
