Almost all Medium-wave transmitters in France, Germany and Luxembourg are set to closedown on the 31th of December, in a MW equivalent of switch off of analogue TV, so only a few days left to hear these mediumwave transmissions at night on a number of frequencies in Ireland. 'France Info' is audible weakly daytime in Ireland (especially near the south coast) on 711kHz MW and comes in very well during darkness on 1377kHz (amongst other frequencies). All this is due to come to an end however in a few days time.

The broadcast last night was a dickied up recording of the last show of the Station of the Stars from 1991, by all accounts. No MW tuner in my house that could have picked it up and the TuneIn app was slow so I gave up and listened to Alf's last show :(

Anyway, here's two hours of heaven for the anoraks among us :)
