Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Didn't think he was doing enough , but what a ****ing goal from Jessie :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,690 ✭✭✭ElChe32

Bojack Horseman has some left peg on him.

Very impressed with Borthwick-Jackson the last few games, he has great crossing ability!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,304 ✭✭✭madcabbage

Where's the passion gone from Herreras celebrations in the dugout? :(

The one positive from this season has been the inclusion of a lot of youth team players. CBJ has been excellent. Lingard looks like a proper player now.

    Dave Saves

We rely on that guy way too much.

Jessie certainly has the raw ability but he is still very headless a lot of the time.

CBJ has really done well since he came through.

Shíthead Depay could've finished the game off if he was capable of playing a simple pass.

    Balls

    Tut.

Is it too harsh to think Depay not being able to pass a simple ball to Schniederlin cost us that goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,473 ✭✭✭Adamcp898

Ready to give up on Depay

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,929 ✭✭✭KH25

We deserve to lose this. Can't hold on to the bloody ball.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,576 ✭✭✭deaddonkey15

Depay is just so so bad.

I agree with cbj but lingard aside from the goals has looked terrible in the last few games

No, he's beyond fcuking useless and has cost more goals than he's gained us when he is on the pitch. I'll be happy if he doesn't get another minute this season.

Nope, fcuker definitely cost us. Should be sent back to Dutch league where he belongs. Such a sh1te signing

shocking from depay. he has zero confidence at the moment. simple pass on, could have been 2 nil and we end up drawing

Memphis really does need a kick up the hole. I had wanted to see him given a chance but he really doesn't deserve it. Can't even make a simple pass to Morgan.

CBJ is only decent going forward tbf. Defensively, he's a liability imo, played Costa onside for the goal there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,226 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

I really, really hope that's the last we see of Depay in a United shirt.

Give me Di Maria over that waste of space.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

Depay should be strung up for that, completely his fault we haven't got 3 points

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,597 ✭✭✭✭Trigger

    I give up...

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,304 ✭✭✭madcabbage

Sickened! We needed those 3 points badly; huge kick in the böllicks!

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

Depay should be thrown into the u21s for a few games. He is absolute muck

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,949 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Depay has no brain in his head

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

What was Van Gaal doing putting him on with our backs to the wall against Chelsea ffs, he has been brutal overall this wasn't the game for him

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,557 ✭✭✭mewe

Rightly pissed off with Depay. He plays that easy pass so badly and then slowly trots back like he couldn't give a fcuk in the lead up to the goal.

We were 1-0 up and basically decided to go home. A stat came up near the end that in the 10-15 minutes before they scored, Chelsea had 95% possession. **** me, we're meant to be a possession team, and Chelsea utterly destroyed us in that stat, cause we decided to just let them do whatever with the ball. Thats utter disrespect, regardless of how Chelsea are preforming this season.

    Memphis....what the ****.

Sigh. More stupid points dropped in a game we just gave up on...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Memphis cost us at Newcastle and now at Chelsea. Absolutely horrendous from him.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,366 ✭✭✭Robson99

We can thank big Dave we got a point. Unbelievable again

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,193 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

Looked good for 3 points today, looked lively for long parts everyone doing their bit and then Depay happened

Threw all that good work out the window

Big Dave with some great stops again

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,929 ✭✭✭KH25

Not to excuse Memphis, but we let Chelsea have the ball for the last 10-15 minutes. We could not hold the ball for love nor money. That was worrying and you could feel a goal coming.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,006 ✭✭✭beno619

Can't fault the performance, unlucky with the Costa goal and possibly nieve after taking the lead.

Shame it's taken so long for it to happen, win would have given is a great chance but more performance like that and we should be able to get CL football.

Thought CBJ and Mata were excellent another good game for Rooney as well and a masterclass from both keepers.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,638 ✭✭✭✭bangkok

hard to see us top 4 now. 6 behind, well basically 7 because of our goal difference, hard to see us make that up. played well today though

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,017 ✭✭✭Chagan

To have only taken 2 points against that Chelsea side this season is very disappointing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,080 ✭✭✭✭Maximus Alexander

20 decent minutes followed by 70 minutes of muck. Normal service has resumed.

On the plus side another really promising performance(well for maybe 70 minutes).

Awful sub IMO bringing Depay on when our backs are to the wall. He's not going to give you the kind of effort defensively even a tired Lingaard would.

More promising signs but more points flicked away. Chelsea looked out of ideas.

4th slipping a little further out of reach. It's like a slow death.

My MOTM. He made some great saves late on.

That he had to should have been a massive warning that we needed to get going forward and go for the second goal, but the warning signs were ignored :/

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Must say CBJ is really growing into the lb position. Pretty solid defensively and has put I some cracking crosses. Has got quite good feet too to control and pass the ball.
    Very good prospect.

What? Hiddink has done a good job reorganising them

Silly mistake from depay was the difference

We were always going to put out under pressure at some point away to Chelsea

Two points lost there, very frustrating that we handed them the reins and dared them to score and of course they did.

CBJ very impressive again, I'd love to see him get a run as an out and out winger when Shaw comes back.

Martial quiet enough in the second half but he is still our best outfield player.

Here's the two of them out and about in Manchester.

Just have to keep that level of performance up,go to Sunderland next week and kill them early

Top 4 is going to be a big ask now but there is bound to be a few more twists and turns before the end of the season,Utd just have to be ready to take advantage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,080 ✭✭✭✭Maximus Alexander

    I disagree with you.

17 attempts, 7 on target away to chelsea is very good.

we are starting to play well, hopefully we can make top 4

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,220 ✭✭✭20 Times 20 Times

Good performance - but my feeling is I just want to get to the end of the season as soon as possible! LVG to step aside and Jose to come in have a full transfer window and get the squad he wants !!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

The squad is painfully thin. We have nobody on the bench when the team gets tired. We are playing Lingard and CBJ, barely 20 first team games between them. Memphis is a busted flush, Herrera is in horrendous form and after that is nothing. That is a pretty damning indictment of LVG's squad management so far.

Chelsea on the other hand, brought on Hazard, Zouma and Pedro and were playing no youth team players being flung into the action out of necsessity.
